Texans offense is finally on the move early on. Wonder how much the altitude will play as a factor into this game. I believe it's double the altitude in Denver. I want to see Janikowski drill a 70 yarder here.

Examples? I mean he has a better resume thus far than guys like Tannehill, but I'd imagine you're talking about the Cutler/Kaepernick type of guys in the league. He looks to be in line with the Stafford/Romo/Dalton range, but he's outperformed the latter two with lesser receivers and probably Stafford too.

In his past 21 games, he has 42 touchdowns/12 interceptions (I think, heard it on PTI) with a 13-7-1 record and I didn't do the math but I'd imagine in the range of a 67% completion percentage.

We're not talking about an unproven Brock Osweiler here. By the end of the year he'll have two full years to evaluate and is about as accurate as anyone in the league except for Brees, at least in terms of completion percentage.

I'd throw a boat load of money at him. You can't teach accuracy. Even if he only remains as the 15th best quarterback in the league (although he's playing better than that right now), he'll always have a team in contention. Much like Stafford and the Lions trailing in every 4th quarter this year, yet he's willed them to 6 wins. Quarterback play is my favorite thing to watch in this league and we have the worst. :(

Doubt Washington lets him leave though. They have a good offensive line, a couple of relatively talented young runningbacks and a deep receiving core. They're a team to watch out for the next couple years if he keeps this up.

This has been a pretty terrible game. Osweiler needs work.

I don't know what was worse tonight. The referees or ESPN shoving this bullshit Spanish down our throats. We get it. The game is in Mexico, we don't need every update to be in Spanish.

The refs were atrocious on that second to last drive by Houston. Houston had the first down on 3rd down and then had the first down on 4th down and it wasn't even close. They got hosed.

They also screwed Hopkins out of that long touchdown in the first quarter. Terrible officiating once again on national television.

Absolutely. Reviews need to be done from up top or in a different location. Not by the on field ref

They trained the refs to swallow their whistles if there's even a question about an incomplete/fumble/down by contact etc., they need to do the same for sideline plays. Let the play go, worst thing that can happen is you call a TD then have to wave it off on review. All the bullshit rules/points of emphasis they add every year, and they don't anticipate this?

Those 3rd/4th down spots (and then not overturning it on review)? I don't know how you fix a fuckup that blatant.

If they are going to blow the play dead like that, then at least allow it to be reviewable of what happened next. He clearly was going to score regardless if the whistle blew or not.

I remember a few years ago we played the Bears on MNF and there was a fumble by Chicago and we picked it up but they blew it dead. We were clearly walking into the end zone as there was no one in front of the Jets player, but they blew it dead and we ended up with the ball on about the 20 yard line.
