It doesn't help that no one respects are passing game at all. We have no one outside of GW who can win outside against cover 1 or 0. They need to get Breece outside and let him plant his foot in the ground and get up field. Think about all the big runs he has had over the years, they are some sort of pitch or outside run. Also another thing that drives me bananas with our run game is the splits of the WRs are so damn close to the OL. All that does is drag more defenders into the box and makes it more challenging.

I forgot where I read it (someone might have posted it already or I saw it on Jets Twitter). The Raiders struggle stopping the run when you run away from Crosby. For some reason we kept running right at him.

I think they ran at Crosby because when they played Dallas they ran away from Parsons and it was a disaster

we've tried. the problem is our offense is so predictable defenses sniff out every screen play and blow them up. saleh is playing too safe for his own good. he has the team playing not to lose. the comments i've heard are pretty rough. his "race to 20 points" and his telling the D "you can't lose if you don't let them score" are pretty bad. the defense is being coached to win by themselves and the offense is being coached that punting every drive is fine. it's not an acceptable way to run a team just because you lost your QB. losing by 3 means the same as losing by 30. you have to let the offense at least try to do something before you have no choice in a game.

That's actually a trademarked Brian Schotty "they'll never see this one coming" type of strategy. Play into the strengths of the defense!

    Run heavy and play action.

    This is the way.

we can't consistently gain positive yards on runs. we've been doing that in a sense. the whole "run, run, pass, punt" joke which sadly was our offense.

They should run a Wishbone/Option offense with Zach/Breece/Cook. I’m dead serious. Pass once out of maybe 10 plays with a one option read. If it’s not open, tell Zach to run.

we have to adjust the offense. it's on hacket and saleh.

look at the raiders game. after AOC threw that pick they adjusted the whole offense to make it easy for him. hackett is still calling plays like we have our starting o-line and rodgers back there.
I was watching the bills game and you have 1 elite QB and 1 was elite at one time but still pretty good QB (although he looked like old russ yesterday) and on 3rd downs they were getting simple 1 read scheme a guy open and move the QB plays. meanwhile we go empty on 3rd and short, and expect zach to read the field and find the open guy out of 5 with no protection. we all know zach isn't good enough to do that.

Apparently touchdowns don't matter when evaluating quarterbacks, but wins/loses are a reliable QB stat. It's mind-boggling.

12 tds in 6 games. What would our record be if Siemian had thrown 12 tds in our last 6 games?

TDs don't matter, but everyone on planet Earth is talking about his the Jets can't score touchdowns.

A quarterback sure has no impact on that. It's the team.
