funny how dull this game projects as Fitz vs Keenum compared to how interested we would be to see Petty vs Goff
Cris Carter: Rams know they botched the top pick by taking Jared Goff "I'm going to draft a kid from Cal with the No. 1 pick, I'm moving this franchise [from St. Louis to Los Angeles] and he's not going to play? Like they have made a colossal mess-up. Just admit it," Cris Carter said. "We all make mistakes. I've stepped in more piles of doo-doo than most people, but I admit it. I clean my shoes off, change my shoes and get to steppin'. Try to avoid those."
Biggest matchup to focus on is how our o-line fairs against the Rams defensive line. If last week was any indication then we are in for a rough match up. At this point, I don't really care if we win another game this season. No playoffs = loss in my book. Play the young guns and evaluate the talent on your roster so we know what we need to address going forward
I am relaxed. That is the thing, I am so relaxed that I really do not give a shit about even watching this game.
Sure, as alumni of Hofstra - The Chrebet story was a pretty big deal and something to root for. Like I said, it may not have been the "team" holding interest but usually there would be something. Petty starting would be something.
I'm pissed that I've been forced to hope for a "Mo Lewis" moment instead of watching the future of the team unfold. Frankly, I don't need to see Fitz, Marshall or Decker anymore. You can throw Revis into that pile too. I'm getting sick and f'n tired of Bowles acting like he's actually won several SB's when in fact, he's a neophyte HC still learning on the job. The one thing he hasn't learned yet evidently is when to look reality in the eye and move on. Its already the 2017 season Todd. Deal with it.
Very well said. Although I don't like team owners meddling, in this case, it is on Woody to tell Bowles to drop Fitz and start Petty. 2016 is lost already. Time to look at 2017 and see what our young guys can do.
My two home teams. When the schedule was released I actually was looking forward to this game. Now........*yawn*
Bowles is being coy all week. Bryce Petty will be the Jets starting quarterback vs Rams. Bowles will announce it right before kickoff.
Fitzpatrick is listed as questionable and will be a gametime decision...I think that decision is made and the Jets coaching staff isn't going to say anything until Sunday. Just a hunch.
I was reading some posts on the Rams forum and apparently they have given the ball to Gurley, 20 or more times in only 2 games so far. I was actually a little concerned about him as he is very explosive, but it seems they are falling into the trap of becoming a passing team instead of trying to be a balanced team and using one of their best weapons. I'm now thinking the jets have a good chance of taking care of business against the rams.
Bryce Petty gets extra reps; Ryan Fitzpatrick a game-day decision. I'm calling my shot, Petty will start. Book it.
I feel the opposite. Fitz practiced every day. Given the Questionable label. Said he feels good. He will start. The question is why is Bowles being mysterious about it? Definitely not a competitive advantage. Just a waste of time.
I thinks it's a combination gurly having an ugly YPC because of the Oline But also teams are gunna stack the box against the rams because keenum sure as shit won't be rippin off 400 yards per game. almost the same type of situation the Jets are in
