I'm really beginning to think that Pete Kendall has volunteered to give us his best impersonation of that cow at the end of Apocalypse Now, and that could be some fuel to keep Coach Mangini's Fear Machine pumping for another season. It seems like McCareins is on his way out, too, but I don't think it will be any surprise to the players. I don't always agree with the supposed 'Mangini Guy' doctrine, but the types of players they are targeting are self-motivated and don't always require fear of losing their job to get them going at the opening kickoff. If Mangini stays around long enough, those will be the types of guys that make up the majority of the roster and the team leadership.
NE has 3 new receivers. NY has 1 new running back. Guess which Offense gels first? Edge: NY NE has 1 new LB and 1 new DB NY has 1 new DB and 1 new LB Guess which Defense plays better? You da man. Now we gotta figure out how to get the damn game played on theganggreen.com. I'm thinking if we do the Marx Brothers routine from Horsefeathers and kidnap Brady, Seymour and Samuel and hold them hostage in a seedy hotel somewhere the Pats might think it's in their best interest, down a few good players, to sim the game instead of actually playing it. Then we hit 'em with theganggreen tripple whammy and stick Klecko, Lyons and Salaam in on the DL and paste em! The password is swordfish.
It looks kinda binary to me. I'm guessing 0 is one result and 1 is another. Now I have no idea who the Pats have at kicker now that Alan Viniateri is gone but I think that the guy we got is pretty good. Can't remember his name right now but he kicked some long FG's last year. All of which is to say I think we win.
Yes, we no longer have Adam but we have Stephen Gostkowski, nicknamed "The Ghost". Who ended the season with a 97.7% accuracy. He was perfect in the playoffs, under pressure - including a 50+ field goal to beat SD. He's OK in my book - I say he's a keeper:up:
Hey Patschick, good to see you here. Yeah, that was my thought as well. Ghost has been awesome, and while Nug has been very good as well, by no means could I give the edge to either at this point. So, with all that said, I was curious why he he gave the "1" to Nug over Ghost. In addition, what criteria would the "1" be?
i agree except for the 2 drippy-eared CBs, you mean one drippy-eared young cb, because asanti samuel has always played well, and look at him now.
He ended the season with a 97.7% accuracy on extra points. He was 76.7% on field goals. It was a decent season for a rookie kicker though and he finished strong.
Thanks for clarifying - He did extrememly well when it counted - in the playoffs under a lot of pressure. That is what Adam was famous for and what the fans were waiting to see regarding Gostkowski. So far so good - hopefully he'll be just as good this year. I'm more concerned with our punting situation. Miller is getting up there and was hurt last year. We do have some younger - but unproven - guys that were on the practice squad. But it is still a question mark.
