I would be highly disappointed if those are his numbers. If those are them then we need to be rushing for 200+ yards and a couple TD's each game. I do think Ivory is going to have a monster year.
Depends when these INTs happen. I don't see Fitz throwing for just 1 TD in each of the first 4 games either. Especially early in the season.
Why would you be disappointed? Fitz is a average at best QB/backup QB. He could have four straight 3 td no int games to start the year too. It's all possible with a guy like Fitz but my scenario is a lot more realistic based on knowing the kind of QB Fitz is.
To be fair this is the whole 2014 stats for Fitzpatrick, Mallet, and Geno. Fitzpatrick PASSING STATS SEASON TEAM GP CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD LNG INT FUM RAT 2014 HOU 12 197 312 63.1 2,483 7.96 17 76 8 3 95.3 Mallet PASSING STATS SEASON TEAM GP CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD LNG INT FUM RAT 2014 HOU 3 41 75 54.7 400 5.33 2 41 2 0 46.9 Geno PASSING STATS SEASON TEAM GP CMP ATT CMP% YDS AVG TD LNG INT FUM RAT 2014 NYJ 14 219 367 59.7 2,525 6.88 13 74 13 3 77.5 Of course stats don't mean squat. It's what he puts up this year that will define him as well Geno if he wasn't an idiot
He put some solid numbers no questions about it. But the guy is what he is, especially after 10 years in the league. I'm not expecting much from Fitz, he'll be solid for the most part, but certain people need to temper their expectations for Fitz.
I would be disappointed because those numbers are below average not average. This offense has the weapons to control the clock and put points on the board. I expect bigger things then an average of 190 yards a game with one TD and one pick. That won't win us too many games. Especially against good teams.
I just think he's better then those numbers that's all. I understand he's not a great QB but I think he's good enough to put up better nbers then that. I guess we will just have to wait to see what he can do. I'm fine with those numbers if we're winning.
The four weeks following that 4tds and 2 picks. The four weeks following that 8tds 1 pick. Not to mention the stats you posted didn't take into account he rushed for a TD in week 3.
thanks for the list....fun to look at! Manning throws 94 TDs, no SB. Russell Wilson throws 46 (near the bottom) and is almost 2x SB winner. I guess Defense matters. So if Fitz can throw in the 20 TD range (similar to Wilson) or 25 TD range (similar to Brady) our Defense may make a big difference.
My biggest fear is that Fitz will keep us going along around .500 till December then as we're eliminated from the playoffs - In comes Geno and he gives us 2 HOF performances when no-one else cares and next season he's still our guy based on "Hey he went over 300 yards and 3-0 week 14".
Hey, his last game he went 20/25, 358yds,3TDs and 0Ints against a team that beat the eventual champs 33-20 and were the only team to record an undefeated season ever. Get that gold jacket measured up!
My stats didn't show his fumbles either. But either way I'm not saying he isn't capable of putting up big stats I'm saying that my scenario isn't as farfetched as you're making it out to be.
I get it and those numbers aren't out of the realm of possibility just on the low end of possible outcomes, I guess I prefer a tad more optimism in my scenarios.
They're based on what Fitz has done for the majority of his career. That's like me saying Geno will put up 12 td's and 1 int in the first four weeks, that's unrealistic. I'm putting up numbers based on history and Fitz is a average at best QB.
