That game was also on grass/mud, which made it much more difficult. Right after that game the Pats installed a new turf surface, so I doubt it will have as big an impact tonight as it did then.....
The Pats removed the field turf and added back real grass overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. For reference so you know I'm not trolling: Edit: actually, whoops. They moved AWAY from real grass. I missed when they went back to it and assumed that's what it said. They are now actually on a Field Turf, they WERE on real grass. Edit2: Actually it looks like a change they regularly make, so nevermind this post completely. I'm guessing they had a soccer game during the opening week while the Pats were in Buffalo and just rolled the turf back out. Total derp on my part.
What's interesting about that game is the Pats installed Field Turf during the season after the result of that game! Kraft/ Beliboy were so PO'd they put in an entirely new surface - probably during their bye week. When else have you ever heard that happening? What a rush charge those guys got whoever sold them that job. I may be wrong about that, but that's how I remember it. I want nice conditions for Geno rather than terrible wind and rain. It's not like we can control the game on the ground. Am I wrong about this?
2nd best...Brett Favre was the best bad weather QB I've ever seen...he got better the colder and snowier it got. It was insane... I don't see the weather being that big of a deal. As long as it isn't super cold it should be standard Modus Operandi. I'm stoked!!!! 6 more hours to go!
Here is a live link for the area in question..just hit play. I really do not think this will be an entire game problem. At some point either just before or early during the game...boom..and gone. Perhaps a major 20 minutes with a possible pop up later on. LINK: http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/connecticut/weather-radar
unless the line of storms really picks up faster...would not be surprised if there is a delay start to this game.
We owned Brett Favre in the heavy downpour in 2010 with Sanchez at the helm. He even tried to pull out the fake spike but failed. I think we even pick sixed him.
