We got roasted by John Brown and Cole Beasley with Josh Allen throwing to them while Frank Gore and Devin Singletary beat us down. Now replace Brown and Beasley with Cooper and Gallup, then combine Gore and Singletary into one player but ten times better.
Biggs can you please pick up one of the plastic cups given out in this thread --the restrooms are down the hall to your right and when you are finished you can drop the sample off at the lab which is right next to the mens rest room, also could you please write your name ( sharpies are in the lab ) on your sample , thank you
If the O looks as unprepared, not competitive and frankly as inept as they been with Sam, we know our HC/OC is the problem. I believe he is but we shall see. Sam will help but I have my doubts we will win.
It will look this way much of the time that has to be expected. its not like the offense and darnold were humming along before the EBV moved in. we should rather look for flashes of success from the QB - tight spirals, ball placement, smooth feet, leading the receivers when/if they are open. If the OL actually performs at NFL level, we may see a decent amount of positive plays which can lead to 14-17 points. that's best case scenario for me so i look for a 34 - 16 cowboy win.
People are clearly overrating the Cowboys on this site. Or the lack of faith in the Jets is next level. I disagree with both. This is a winnable game. It's funny how so many people are not understanding the upgrade from a 3rd string QB, who should not be on an NFL roster, to a franchise QB in Sam Darnold. It will be light and day. The O-line is a concern, but it was last year too and Sam found a way to make plays with Jeremy Bates as his OC. My only true concern is how in shape Sam will be coming off of mono. Besides that, the offense should open up with passes to Crowder and Anderson. Thomas looked pretty good last week too. All of that will open up the running game for Bell. Now, on the other side, it will be tough to defend Dak, Zeke and Cooper. The Jets defense is solid though. They can keep the team in the game. Just need the offense to make plays and I think they will. The spread is Jets (+7). I think the Jets will cover..............and get the straight up win.
It’s a “winnable” game. But all of the games except the New England game were “winnable”. If Sam were playing, if we had Mosley, If we had a kicker, etc. I’d just be happy to see the offense produce points, right now.
I put my money where my mouth is. Betted $50 for Jets to win and $50 for Jets to cover 7.5 at Fan Duel Sportsbook. Jets baby!
I don't think the Cowboys have scored 25+ in any game that Tyron Smith has missed dating back to 2017. IIRC, last week was the first time in 4 or 6 games they scored 20+ without him. 24 could be the magic number in this one.
Jets will not win this game. Sorry but this offense with Darnold is not going to be any different than the offense we have seen this season. The Jets have been a bottom of the barrel offense for quite some time now and have not improved through the draft or FA. Teams don’t work at being bad on offense, either you have a good scheme, talented oline and impact players or you don’t. My concern is for Sam, I thought the recovery for Mono, takes a lot longer as the body needs time to get back to 100%. Is he ready for this type of punishment on his body? Hope he gets through this game safely.
About 90% of the population has had mono and the vast majority did not even know it at the time. It's the severe cases that we were hearing about with long recovery times. Michael Sam was the last player diagnosed before Darnold. It was found during OTA's and he was cleared before camp began 2 weeks later. Darnold lost a total of 2 pounds, more likely due to the strep throat he also had. He's been back on his feet for nearly a month now, returned to the facility Sept 18th. He will be fine. He missed more time and activity last season with the ankle sprain.
