Or perhaps we don’t run a traditional 3-4 ... we spend a large amount of time in nickel to begin with and Bowels mixes up both one gap and two gap schemes when we are in the base defense. Much like Rex he prefers to manufacture pressure with blitz schemes instead of relying on a superior edge talent. He also likes press corners, but values safety much higher than Rex did, most likely due to his experience at the position. Bowles is really a more reserved version of old Rexy as opposed to someone bringing in a lot of new ideas.
Macc knew exactly what the most important position was. But by the time he was on the clock all the kickers were gone.
Now that Macc solved our FQB problem our offense will be on the field 58 minuets a game. Macc's not worried about Mo gettin hit in the pussy on the way out. Also the Jets will be the only team to enter the regular season without a punter. Macc may even turn place kicking duties over to Sam Darnold since Sam will be the field the whole game anyway.
We passed on Key do to his off field issues. Besides poor play, injury, being out of shape and over weight, he was in rehab this off season and is currently under investigation for undisclosed reasons. Kid is just a mess , we have enough problem children on the roster.
That's why I left Vegas. Couldn't get the fix I needed for my Vices.... But on a more positive note, The new Raiders wing being added to the Clark County Detention Center is nearly complete....
We passed on an edge rusher because a franchise Quarterback at 3 is much more valuable and there were no good pass rushers left come our 3rd round selection. If we had a second round pick, it could have been another story, but we didn't and I'm glad we didn't because an OLB is not going to carry Josh McCown to the Super Bowl.
Shoulder injury, knee injury and checked himself into a drug rehab center. We're not drafting those types in the 3rd.
Totally on point. This kid is Randy Gregory part 2. This was a weak draft for OL and edge rushers. Darnold was a slam dunk at #3. Value wise, I believe the Shepherd pick was very solid in the 3rd (Cooper and McLendon are in walk years) compared to what was available. Aside from that, they picked Jenkins and Mauldin in that same spot, so it doesn't always translate to an amazing edge guy.
