No. We needed a guy like Shaub. I can't trust Ramsey. I suggest either going with Hawk or D'Brick.....i want to fight for Shaub.
Im not Maroney is going to be around in the second round. If anyone, I like Joseph Addai out of LSU..this guy is a beast. With the 4th pick, we have so many positions to fill, that any of those big name guys is fine by me. Us fans really cant boo our 4th pick as long as its one of the Qbs, a 1st round RB, Davis, DBrick, Hawk, or Williams. I do like the idea of trading the #4 for a couple more picks, but this draft is so deep with great players that I dont see any team wanting to give up too much for the pick.
Yes because TE is a great place to start when you are trying to rebuild a team. Beast or not, good or not, the Jets have way to many other needs to use a 1st round pick on a TE. We are not last year's Pittsburgh where they were a piece away from the SB and can take the best player available. The Jets need O-Linemen, they need a NT, they need a future DE to replace Abe, they need another starting LB for the 3-4, and an argument can be made for needing a QB or RB, but do we really need another TE? Especially when we have Jolley, Dreesen, Dearth on the roster, and are trying to re-sign Baker? SD has a solid O-Line, that has much to do with their success as Gates or LT. Did you watch a SD game last year? Brees had all day to throw the ball and the line made huge gaps for LT. Just for perspective.
I dont like Williams. I mean, I do but not for this team. I think itd be a waste to pick him at 4 as a 3-4 DE...hes not going to have nearly the same effect he would in a 4-3. Now if we werent switching schemes itd be different, but we are, so that arguement goes out the window
