WE know that our gameplan is to keep shoving the run game until they can't stop it any longer. I just haven't seen a single Charger fan outside of my sister's family give us credit for anything we did in that game.
A very wise football man once said "Do anything you can to get into the tournament. Once you are there, anything is possible". That wise man was Bill Parcells, and so far he is being proved quite right.
You like me know why though.. my thoughts are they can keep coming up with excuses because they're the ones whining about everything and their players are the ones hitting the golf course.
This JETS team is proving to have one element stronger than most of it's opponents. It's not X's & O's, can't be drawn up on a chalk board........ IT'S WILL POWER. Sticking to their gameplan impossing their will and crushing souls in the process. This is style of the team I always wished we had. :jets:
Its called heart and it is one of the two things that football is about......the other is TEAM, and they've got that too.......any team that has both of those in abundance you'd best be very worried about....
Sorry but your wrong, you don't go 14-0 and over look your opponents. You seriously think that the Colts are thinking of Miami and the Super Bowl then you are FAIL. Trust me Peyton will not underestimate the Jets, wich is bad news for you guys...
And your proof? They got to 14-0 by being a very good football team and catching some breaks. Kris Brown ring a bell? Bellicheat's arrogance ring a bell? Manning may not underestimate us but neither are we him. We've seen your boy fail in the postseason before with much better teams. It's not like he has 3 SB rings for all the success you've had. Hell his failure goes all the way back to high school. If not for a Patriot collapse he has none.
Ummm this week we will see who layed down to let who in... Like Rex said from jump if you want to win this game you better play your starters for four quarters...
People spout this sort of crap because they've forgotten what football is. They think it's this high-speed basketball-type game with pretty passes, nifty receivers and defenders who aren't allowed to lay a finger on anyone without drawing a flag. The Jets know what football is. It's violent, it's aggressive, it's a brutal exertion of your will on the opponent. Rex Ryan has reminded the Jets players of this and the fans have caught on too. We love him for this, because he is saving football's soul.
It would make life a lot easier if fans from other sites just read the week before comments from teams beaten. Yes..we know that Peyton will not underestimate the Jets. While the Colts, according to your record, should easily beat the Jets...the "bad news for you guys" line has been repeated here non stop for 3 weeks...and its pretty childish too. Not sure if that should send a shivers down our spines..but breaking news..it doesnt. We should lose this game. You should win this game or hide according to this "bad news" you brag about.
We should just bump all the Chargers threads and replace them with Colts fans please read!!! I don't think Peyton has ever overlooked any team he's played since high school and maybe even not then oh and that Memphis team that beat him his senior year at Tennessee. The bottom is the guy has lost games before, he's not Super Man.
For what it's worth, my wife's cousin lives outside of Philadelphia, and he just told me this morning that the sports guys there are talking up the Jets bigtime. No doubt part of it is that they still love Buddy Ryan, and part of it is that they hate the Giants, but I think that also speaks to how you can't really take the opinions of fans and local sports guys too seriously - they're always colored by biases of various kinds. Of course, the fact that local guys are usually biased in favor of local teams is what makes Francesa such a POS, as he is overwhelmingly biased against two local teams.
Yep. On First Take today, Drew Bennet said that this scenario is a like a horror film for the Colts: they had a chance to kill the monster earier in the movie, and now the monster is back (he wasn't making a prediction, just stating that this could be potentially devastating for Indy).
I have driven to Miami but I have never seen a bus backing up all the way to Miami. Hey, I know I have a we don't belong here thread....gotta find it
The only problem is that usually the monster kills a few people along the way until finally being killed by that same person who didn't kill him earlier. I don't like that scenario at all.
