'Terrelle Cryer' whiteout T-shirts all the rage at Penn State By DUSTIN HOCKENSMITH, The Patriot-News November 03, 2009, 8:24PM http://blog.pennlive.com/patriotnewssports/2009/11/terrelle_cryer_whiteout_t-shir.html Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor was the inspiration for Penn State's whiteout T-shirt this weekend. The Penn State Daily Collegian photoThe Penn State Marketing Association has offered a nice way for PSU students to welcome back Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor to the state of Pennsylvania. The organization has begun selling "Terrelle Cryer" T-shirts for this weekend's whiteout at Beaver Stadium, a design that features the Nittany Lion mascot consoling Pryor with a box of tissues. The shirt costs just $10 and is already drawing publicity across the state. The design was by sophomore student Jinder Bhogal, according to student newspaper The Daily Collegian. "After we beat Ohio State last year, you couldn't walk through a dorm without seeing the picture of Terrelle Pryor with his head in his hands," PSMA president Dan Sturman told the Collegian. "That vivid image is still on everyone's mind."
Spoil sports. Terrelle Cryer T-shirts recalled by Penn State student group By Doug Lesmerises, The Plain Dealer November 04, 2009, 3:33PM http://www.cleveland.com/buckeyeblog/index.ssf/2009/11/terrelle_cryer_t-shirts_recall.html Those Terrelle Cryer shirts won't be popping up at Saturday's Ohio State-Penn State game after all. The Penn State Marketing Association made 200 of the shirts, which featured a drawing of Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor and a box of tissues, and was planning to pass them out to members of the group and then sell any left over to the public on Friday. Dan Sturman, a Penn State senior and the president of the student group, said today that is commonly done at Penn State, various student organizations designing their own T-shirts for big games. But the decision was made last night to recall all of the shirts after the Marketing Association received input from members of the club that the shirt wasn't sending the right message. Penn State's Daily Collegian wrote a story about the shirts this week that was picked up by several other sources, including www.cleveland.com "The feedback we received thought it was too over-the-top," Sturman said. "It conveyed our message incorrectly. We wanted to stir up excitement about the Ohio State-Penn State rivalry. It was not meant to be an attack on Pryor. He's an amazing athlete. It's not an attack on him, and that's not what Penn State is about." Sturman said the group had passed out about 20 T-shirts to members, but the group knows who has them and everyone has been asked to turn them in.
Shouldn't have recalled the shirts Dorothy, I mean Pam....Pryor is so overrated, I'm glad he didn't to State College...
I really think Daryl is better than him, Pryor can't even throw, he has no arm strength ala Noodlearm...
Bite me Buckeye boy. <sighs> Yes all is pointing to you guys going to the rose bowl. I was rooting for Iowa *spits out bad taste*
One thing the BCS craptacular has done has made a team with a 9-2 record less than something to proud of. I hate the whole BCS thing. We need a playoff system.
JoePa has bitched about this for years. Isn't this year or next, the last of the BCS bullshit or did I hear wrong?
