Keep in mind we have Evans on the back burner. It will almost be like we had an extra pick this year. I still believe that was a solid pick and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the field. Wouldn't stop me from drafting another WR though.

Unless the WR we're drafting is going to be a #1 guy over Decker I wouldn't use a high pick on one, a later round pick for some depth is great but I don't think our receiving core is really all that bad. We fix our OL and get a better QB and our offense should be much, much better. No point in drafting a guy who comes in occasionally or on special teams, he either has to have a chance at being a legit #1 target or it's not worth our while.

Right, I'm not saying to avoid the position. I just really don't want to use our first pick on it. It's very far from being our biggest need. As I always say, I really consider WR a luxury position, and I want us to build at QB, OL, and a pass rush more than anything else. 2nd round, have at it, but I want a more impactful position with that 6th overall.

The question you have to ask is which is more likely.

A great quarterback making a WR look good.
A great WR making a QB look good.

It is the old story which came first the chicken or the egg, but guys like Manning, Brady, Rodgers and Brees have pretty much proven they can throw the ball to just about anyone.

A great WR can only do so much with inaccurate throws is my take.
