Trust me I didn't form my opinion about your opinion over one post. You constantly rag on anyone not named Slauson who I suppose was lights out?
Mario Williams is having a down year and his phsycial skills have exceeded his production. Another Russell Maryland.
yes he is having a horrible year... 7.5 sacks in 10 games. Simply terrible! He was beating the pants off our OL today and frankly he was a much better pick than anticipated. Is he a HOFer, no, but when its all said and done, I expect him to be part of that Hall of Very Good. For comparisons sake, Maryland had 24.5 sacks in his career. Super Mario already (since 06) has nearly doubled that with 47.0 sacks.
You're going by sacks ?? Try an evaluation of every play....the guy's production is WAY DOWN and all the Houston bloggers and beat writers have noted it. Unlike you, I've been following the Texans from Game 1, not just the last 6 days.
Someone on the CS needs to fucking realize that our backup Tackle who should never be better than a #3, run-blocking TE on a depth chart needs someone next to him when he's facing Cameron fucking Wake.
Solid Solid game by a very good pass rushing team.. congrats to him. PS Did he have help most of the time? Can't remember... PPS Slauson was so so, hope this year makes him realize what NFL speed is and next year he improves...
We must have been watching different games. Slauson is a hell of a run blocker. The guy's played out of his mind this season. I know he had the holding call that took us out of scoring range, but other than that, he did a damn good job against an attacking defense.
To me he looks a little slow when he has to move around (like the LT run)... he's good when he just pushes forward from where he is. But other than that he's played well I agree... I just really would like our OL to be dominant. And LG is so important for the run game...
Yea.... the point was to say I had over-reacted about Hunter sucking vs Williams and Wake... in case you didn't get why I posted this in my own thread... smart ass... -.-"
60: the number of rushing yards Pittsburgh is allowing per game. 106 : the number of rushing yards for the New York Jets in today's game. I think our offensive line did a pretty damn good job.
The O-Line had it's best game in a month. Mangold, Moore and Slauson were moving that d-line today. Hunter isn't a NFL starter and the Jet's have to address RT....in the offseason.
Again... I'm giving props to Hunter, not saying anything about the other guys (which I agree played really well) and saying Slauson imo was so-so (not saying he sucked or anything... just looked a little to slow in some occasions). I think we can run 106 yds on the Steelers (95 if you count out Sanchez run, which wasn't on the OL) with 4 guys playing really well and one playing so-so. PS btw since this is now a Slauson thread I wasn't too pissed off by the penalty... it was a weak hold and shit happens sometimes... just saying he's not yet as mobile as I hope he becomes. I'm very happy with him overall this season... but that doesn't mean he has to be criticism free!
I agree, but with Woody sure to be gone......we can't rely solely on Vlad. An alternative must be addressed in FA or the draft...we need options.
