I don't know if Hardy is going to come out because he's missed so much time this year at Ole Miss...but he is the nastiest pass rusher out there, with Brown being a close second. Watch out for Jeff Schweiger out of San Jose State - he's a defensive end transfer for Southern Cal - this guy could turn out to be a very good 3-4 linebacker with the right coaching. UConn's Cody Brown is another guy that could play in the 3-4. Honestly, I just want to see our FO go after a few linebackers in this draft. We need depth at that position - it would be great if they could bring in a pass rusher and an inside guy.
3-4 OLBs: Michael Johnson, GT George Selvie, USF Brian Orakpo, Texas Everette Brown, FSU Clint Sintim, UVA Cody Brown, UConn Aaron Maybin, PSU (redshirt soph) 3-4 ILB: Rey Mauluga, USC Brandon Spikes, Florida Scott McKillop, Pitt Jasper Brinkley, South Carolina Ronnie Palmer, Arizona
If South Carolina's Eric Norwood comes out early, he'll be a top of the line 3-4 linebacker prospect. He's a HUGE linebacker that knows how to get after the quarterback.
Nope i said earlier he would be a great pick for us in the 4th round range. Kellen Clemens won't be with us much longer and while everyone here is high on Ratliff he is still unproven. Bomar has some serious skills and is eerily reminiscent of a young Brett Favre. Pros: Big arm, does well on the move, good scrambling ability Cons: Not the most accurate, unimpressive TD/INT ratio That applies to both Favre and Bomar. They are also both 6'2 and 220 lbs. He would be a great QB to groom under Favre and whenever Favre finally moves on, Bomar could potentially come in and the offense could continue without missing a beat.
I have found who I want. Shonn Greene. 5'11'' 235, 4.6ish. 1- His name is Greene, its perfect. 2- Very tough runner, runs through tackles with determination. 3- Great Vision, waits for the hole to develop. 4- Awesome balance, spins off many tackles. Every year, I get a crush on a player. Greene might be it this year. Hes the very opposite of Leon. It could be an awesome combo.
greene will is probably the 4th or 5th rb in this class behind McCoy,Moreno and Wells in the 2nd-3rd round range
we need dept on O-line and D-line before anything- winning in the trenches is the fundamental reason we are as good as we are this year. however if Farve goes then starting some first year QB might be rough. Once we have Harris back you will see our ILb be better in coverage. TJ will be good to go next year and leon is only getting better so I don't think that is a pressing need. A number two corner is still a concern but maybe lowery will work out who knows.
more pass rushers, WR with SIZE, NT and another safety to go next to Rhodes even with the devolpment of Elam
http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recr...ng/tracker/player?recruitId=57263&season=2009 4 years from now we will need to draft Vontaze Burfict, cuz its fun to say his name.
It's pretty safe to say he will go in the top 10, it's also safe to say we won't be picking in the top 10, but who knows, it's still really early, his stock could totally plummet by draft day.
Haha... That guy is a little overrated by college scouts because he committed to the Trojans early. I think he'll be buried on USC's depth chart forever.
Stud RT or DE...... Have to plan for the future. The improvement in the trenches is what turned this team around..... need to keep that foundation strong. It's not all about drafting for NOW..... see HERMWAY CB, RB, ILB, and WR wouldn't be bad either..... QB is of course the wildcard. I'm hoping the JETS aren't in the position to draft one of the stud prospects
