ok i see your point, but you do realize how much time rodgers had to throw at times right? also...i know our receivers dropped passes but james jones burned cromartie and dropped it, jennings missed a couple and their 3rd string TE quarles! dropped another...all of which would have led to more points....if revis was 100% why the hell was drew coleman on jennings 80% of the game!!!? im tired of hearing about revis island and all that shit...revis had one good year and thats it...we as fans need to stop thinking revis will shut people down...why isnt he making plays?! woodson made a play when he took it from keller for the pick....
I don't understand your frustration with the defense today. They played lights out yesterday. It would be great to have a Clay Matthews on our team but it's a luxury at this point and the likelihood of finding one probably isn't good. We've been running a 3-4 since the '06 draft and have only drafted one guy we thought would fit the bill - that didn't work out so well. I also believe Clay Matthews was the only legit 3-4 pass rusher drafted by any team since '06 - am I missing anyone?
I'm frustrated because I keep hearing #1 defense yada yada, then I watch supposed weaker defenses still generate a pass rush with 3 or 4 down lineman! and i get pissed because the jets seem to never have that guy...john abraham was that guy and we havent found anyone to replace him still....i just expected our defense to create more sacks and create turnovers whether it be a fumble or INT, but it never happened...we needed something to give our shitty offense a boost....i mean the raiders have scored 92 points the last 2 weeks!!!.....we have so many weapons on both sides of the ball but yet the patriots are still the better team and will win our division...again
Where have you heard the Jets called the #1 defense lately? The Jets have given up fewer PPG than both those defenses you're watching tonight. That was when we switched to the 3-4 and if I'm not mistaken, since that '06 draft when we switched the only successful 3-4 OLB pass rusher taken by ANY NFL team is Clay Matthews. They're a rare breed. We held down one of the better QB's in the game pretty well. It's more difficult to force turnovers when you're playing from behind. Especially when you're not aware of the new "rip the ball away from the receiving while he's on the ground" INT rule. WTF does that have to do with getting a 3-4 pass rusher? We smoked the Patriots when we played them.
patriots will win this division because they play in a better system with better coaching as much as i hate to admit it...for some reason whenever they play, you never get a sense they will lose, yet with our team i feel like we will find a way to lose....the lions are no joke and i could see us going there this weekend and getting beat...plus we WILL lose to the pats in new england...so we just need to hope they lose a few down the road
He did mention Mario Williams. He could be a stud 3-4 DE that can rush the passer. Those guys grow on trees. Since 2000 there have been maybe a 1/2 dozen. Seymour, Pryce, Ellis and maybe 3 or 4 others that I can't remember off the top of my head. Unfortunately, it looks like the fins hit on Wake (UDFA) and possibly Misi. Although Misi has not been near the force that Wake has been.
You really mean they have Tom Brady and the Jets do not. Their defense and their defensive system isn't even close to the Jets. That is pure nonsense.
the patriots defense creates turnovers at least when they really need it....i know its one loss...but im pissed because penalties, drops, and bullshit calls beat us..should have won that game..it would have been nice for our d to blitz more though and create some turnovers...
Where's the faith? ne is good but come on they are still mortal. The lions are playing tough but if the Jets bring their A game they can beat any team in the league. Lets not count wins or losses before they happen the Jets are still a good team. Believe.........Believe.........Believe
Lmao The Jets until this week were the # 1 team in turnover differential. So the Patriots create turnovers when they need it, particularly at the end of games, implying the Jets do not......... Dwight Lowery, Drew Coleman and Jason Taylor say hello. You can't possibly be this dumb.
same old jets never left!!!!....to play like that coming off a bye week is not a sign of a championship team...its a sign of a 9-7 10-6 team, who will maybe get a wildcard spot....i hope you guys become realistic and stop dreaming about rex ryans hopes becoming a reality...bottom line is IF we dont do shit this year, we will lose alot of our 1 year guys and what will new england do? oh yeaaaa..two picks in each of the 1st three rounds of the draft....they will run the afc east for another 10 straight years....call me negative/pessimistic whatever...im just speaking on reality..
Yeah, that's the one thing that bothered me yesterday since its been occurring week after week. We have no pass rush without blitzing and lately teams have been picking up our blitzes. Our coverage skills are gonna be tested. They did a nice job yesterday but if we ever had the Giants or Titans DL, we would all world. Oh well, you can't have everything
I just put your post in the TGG translator and this is what it came up with: Waaaaaaaaahhh Waaaaaaahhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhhh Reality.
So what you're saying is that if the Jets ran a different scheme and had different players they would have an all world defense?
hahaha tears of hope bro!!!...ok, fuck me right! J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS....i guess finishing 14-2 wont be bad haha
JetDynasty what are you talking about? With Revis back, we have a top 2 defense in the NFL. Just because it isn't the style you want doesn't mean it's not effective.
