Take it any way you want. You're wrong. Sorry if that hurts your feelings. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Lol...it took me three posts to reduce you to name calling and personal attacks. So predictable. But., please. Do try to get the last word in. I know how important that is to people like you. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Oh that old trick, well done. No YOU get the last word in. Because I know how important that is to people like you. _
True, but he still did it. Its not like we are wondering if he is capable of a good season, he has actually proven it. I think the Jets would be really good if they ended up with RG3 and still added someone of value at the #6 pick. In any event, I think it would be a low risk move to trade for him. His stock would be super low and his contract is low in 2015. I wonder if a 3rd rounder this year and a conditional pick in 2016 (that could go as high as 2nd) be something of interest to Washington?
Geez here we were talking about Bradford as a risk due to his injuries, but he's at least not dependent on running it to be effective. Griffin was beter than Smith even in his second year, but so was everyone else, so that's not saying anything.. Just like everything else it would depend on what they want in return for Griffin. But he makes me nervous. Since his first year he's tailed off quite a bit, and you have to wonder where he goes from here. He didn't seem to handle any number of things well last year, and I would also point out he played last year with the addition of one of the best receivers in the league in DeSean Jackson. He went from 20 Td's to 5 Int's his first yera to a very pedestrian 20 Td's v. 18 Int's his last two. He missed 10 games the last two as well. He did get his ypa back up in the third year, but if you give credence to QBR he went even further down from his second to third year. Add in whether by design or due to injury or both his threat as a runner has become pretty pedestrian (heh). But one thing's clear. Washington will not be dealing Griffin until the draft. Too much risk someone higher takes Mariota. But the ironically by waiting I think Washington loses trade leverage if they do take Mariota, since I don't see them holding onto Grifin if they go that route. If they have to trade him, they will get less for him.
Demonstrating yet more of your brilliance, comparing Mariota's "Football IQ" while running a college offense against college defenses, with RG3's travails in the NFL against NFL defenses. You still don't get it, do you ?
If they draft MM I'd take a flyer on RG3 with late round pick, anything more than that is too much for a guy Wash has done everything but say GTFO and point to the door. Course the Jets seem like they have suddenly become a little more interesting a team to play for, which is good for business.
And you are comparing RG3's "Football IQ" based on what he's shown in the NFL against Mariota's "Football IQ" based on what he's shown in college. It's an invalid comparison. That would be like comparing your GPA in grade school against someone else's GPA in college. Again, coming out of college, the same people touted RG3's high "Football IQ" the same way they are talking about Mariota right now.
Everyone gets what you are trying to say Stokes, what you don't get is that you are quite simply WRONG. The real problem is that you are too dense to understand why, no matter how hard people beat you over the head with explanations. Seriously, it's like trying to tell you that the reason you are wet is that you are standing in the rain. You just stand there and say "Uh uh".
I didn't know that, thank you The more I learn about MM, the more I like him. Of course this means TEN will take him or someone will trade to JAX/Oak spots...
You're welcome. That's one of the beauties of forums like this...we can learn from each other as well as express our opinions. Yeah, we probably won't get a shot at him. Even if we do, I'm not sure that the Jets will take him. I'm reconciling myself to that fact. Normally, I'd be livid or really frustrated if the Jets passed up a chance at someone like Mariota, but after this offseason, at most, I'll just be surprised and mildly disappointed and frustrated. We've come a lot farther than I had even dared hope or believe. Last year about this time, I truly feared that Rex and Idzik would still be here. The trade for Marshall and all the FA signings have truly been icing on the cake.
I still don't like Revis. In principle ppl like him should not be rewarded after holding team hostage. At 39MM guarantee, essentially 13 per for 3 years, it's not too bad. Still, this "my heart was always with Jets" BS irks me.
Agree, nice FA ency so far. What are the odds we forget about our "other holes to fill " trade up for Winston or Mariotta?? Don't you think getting a Franchise QB gets harder if Fitz and Gailey take us to say 10-6? Maybe we should grab Petty, Mannion, any future QB. Year after year we neglect or select poorly at QB. How does Mac solve dilemma?
