Yep Thomas Jones ran for 200? yards I think or close to it and the Jets lost in OT. The 2009 Jets lost 4 games off the top of my head they should of won going away...….don't forget Revis's dropped INT that lost the Falcons game later that year....
Those losses in 2009 where we had a lead late in the 4th quarter were painful because we lost the division by a game. MIA, up by 3 ATL, up by 4 JAX, up by 1 Then come the games where we outplayed the other team, but lost. First game vs BUF Second game vs MIA We win those 5, and not only do we win the division, we would've had a first round bye with HFA in the AFCCG a possibility. What could've been.........
don’t rip up possibly the best season this team’s had this century lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For me it's not that one game that's so bad, it's what it represents: another confirmation that the Jets suck and have sucked for so long. At this point I hoestly believe that they will never become a winning organization. They'll become the St. Louis Browns of football. It's what happens when you have owners that are clueless.
I'm serious. I don't know what else our staff could have done to help the Jets carve us up. We even told our best player, CB Xavien Howard, to sit out the game. Our defense is giving up an AVERAGE of 32+ points per game! And despite all this... our no name depth chart scrubs were out there grabbing multiple INT's and sacks shutting the Jets Offense down. The only thing left to do was have someone put laxatives in Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick's smoothie so that he can't be out there winning the game for us.
For me, it was the next game. After the '98 season, I was positive the Jets were going to dominate the 1999 season. By the end of that Opening Day game, I wasn't sure the Jets would be able to field a team in 1999, and for a long time, they weren't.
It's so sad that we expected to lose against a shite team and that the team didn't let us down. Maybe they do actually think of the fans sometimes and do their best to meet our expectations..... Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
You'd probably be tanking better but keeping some decent players if you had kept Gase. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
It's not even the WORST loss in the calendar year. November 11, 2018 was much worse. 41-10 home loss to the Bills with a QB OFF THE STREET in Matt Barkley. Flat out embarrassing. It sucks to be a Jets fan. Someone asks if losing to the tanking Dolphins is the worst loss and Jets fans are like: "No, here are 50 other examples of worse losses!"
In recent memory the season finale a few years ago when Fitz threw all those INT's in Buffalo which cost us a playoff spot. Last week was bad but 1-7 or 2-6 who cares as this season is already over.
That's exactly my take. Who cares about Sunday's loss to Fins? Win-Lose, it didn't make any difference. A good number of us expected the Jets to lose anyway. The 2015 loss to the mediocre Bills killed a whole season in which the Jets performed better than expected and just blew it all on the very last game. Hard to take, even for a Jets fan.
i remember some of the real bad losses from the early 80's - especially the seahawks and fish. if the jets had won those games we likely wouldn't be talking about a mudbowl or bruce harper fumble.
