Ian O'Connor is a well-known Giant shill and Jet hater It kills him that Rex is getting positive publicity He brings up the 2011 Giants game and that Coughlin "out-coached" him I call BS Jets had the ball first & ten at the 50, down by 6, with less than 5 minutes to go, and they had been moving the ball on the ground. The Jets called three straight ill-conceived pass plays, all incomplete, then punted. Game over If anyone got out-coached, it was Schottenheimer, and IMO he paid for it with his job
Ah yes, one of the many painful Schotty memories. Plus there was the BS safety called before Sanchez was down, just to be "safe". That was utterly stupid because he was still alive and completed a pass. Then the fumble in the end zone. Yeah, that is totally out coaching a team, it has nothing to do with the players making mistakes! LOL
I just wanted to say that while I was more for getting rid of Ryan back two weeks ago, he got a lot of points with me when the Jets beat the fish and took them out of the playoffs. One of my sore spots with him is his record against Miami, who has not had a talented team during the Ryan era. But that last win was nice. A one year extension sounds right. Next will be using top draft picks on O rather than D, perhaps getting a vet Qb like Cutler, and letting Marty run the O. If those things happen the retention of Ryan can be a positive.
Actually Miami has had very talented teams since Rex arrived, don't confuse their records w/ talent. If rex was coaching those teams they have 3 playoff apps at least.
