It wasn't a success with the expectations laid forth by Rex in the offseason. We had a SB or bust mentality but in the middle of the season I started to think we may be a one and out especially after we got waxed by the Pats and sucked against Miami. That being said it's not a failure either. Failure would have been being blown out by the Pats or Colts again.

But I as well am sick of wait till next year... this may have been the most trying season for me because it was the 1st year since 99 that I really honestly believed we would win the SB. Now that season ended before it began. The ups and downs of an 19 game season can be trying but I'm glad we went as far as we did even if we failed at winning the ultimate prize.

I don't know how you guys can consider it a success if the goal was clearly to win the Super Bowl this year, which we did not accomplish.

    I love beer.

It was in a few ways. Sanchez had a much better year. We didnt miss Thomas Jones or Allan Fanaca.

I dont know. Im so bitter about the loss.

This is not the same old ...... So whatever. Its on next year.

Thank everything sacred for beer - I sucked through at least 8 of them during the game yesterday and still don't know if I felt the effects.

    I love beer.

This season was somewhat of a success, with a great big side of failure at the end.

Since this is the first time our team has made back to back AFCCG's, and we were in striking distance of winning it before time ran out. I say this was a big success. This is the first game we were a TD away from winning. The last 3 that I have watched before this, we were beaten by at least 13. I feel great to be a Jet fan right now. But heartbroken.

Definitely a success. 11-5 regular season, followed by a trip to AFC Title game. That's considered a success for any team that is not the overwhelming favorite going into the playoffs.

    11-5 regular season,

Truly what it comes down to 9-7 the year before. I'll take it. I just hope we can some how get overall depth on this team nothing but stars

Success is a subjective word. A lot of nice things happened, mostly involving that dick that plays QB for us. Beating New England twice was awesome, especially after the way we lost. Winning in Foxboro was a demon this team needed to conquer, what better way than to ruin their season?

Having said all of that...this season was not a success. It's not a bad thing but when you get that close the second straight year you expect to make it to the dance.

There is no room for second place. There is only one place in my game and that is first place. I have finished second twice in my time at Green Bay and I never want to finish second again.

ask fans of the Panthers, Lions, and Bills if it sucks to have a team that:

went 11-5 and made the playoffs,

    eliminated manning and colts,

eliminated the red hot, favorites to win it all Brady and the Pats,

nearly came back against the steelers for a shot in the super bowl,

beat your conference nemisis 2 out of 3 time and are in great shape to take the division next season,

have sanchez, greene, keller, mangold, debrick, holmes, braylon, harris, scott, cromartie, revis, tanny AND rex.

i think 90% of the fans in the NFL would kill to have a team as good as the jets with a really bright future.

just the fact our expectations are 'superbowl or bust' says A LOT about how good oru team really is.

it ain't always been this way.

    enjoy it.
