He was awful in the beginning of the season w/ the exception of that Arizona game(Az had also been humiliated in Philly and in NE so it wasn't an isolated game for them).

Game 1 at Mia: He made one play, the deep pass to an open Cotchery
Game 2 vs. NE: Ne was reeling after losing Brady, this was Cassell's first start and he outplayed Favre in an embarrassing loss
Game 3 at SD: he was brutal, we led 7-0 on an INT return, SD scored next 17 pts. Leon washington brought back KO to SD 3 and we scored again but we never got close after that. 29 pts looks nice but most were in garbage time and again we scored 7 on INT return and had a KO down to the SD 3.
Game 4 vs. Ari: played great
Game 5 vs. Cin: mediocre, agains gave up pts this time w/ a fumble return and was outplayed by Ryan Fitzpatrick.
game 6 at oak: puts up 10 pts in 5 qtrs, outplayed by Jamarcus Russell
game 7 vs. KC: Throws 4th qtr INT to put KC up 24-21 but did lead GW TD drive. outplayed by Tyler Thigpen

he was terrible most of the year w/ the exception of the Ari game and that 3-4 game stretch in Nov.

Good point. It depends how the offense fails to decide where the majority of the blame lies. I'm really interested to see how this offense is different. The players seems to appreciate this offense but it's also July as they aren't going to speak ill of a new coach.

I think getting rid of schotty is a really good indicator to see where Sanchez is. As I said I would rather Sanchez be bad and we know than continuing with schotty and not knowing.

Games won or lost is irrelevant. Favre's stats through the first 4 games are not the stats of a struggling QB. Even if you take out the ARI game ( he still has 6TDs 2int through 3 games ) he still has solid numbers. The fact that he got worse after the bye week implies, at least to me, That as Favre got more acclimated to Shotty's system he got worse on the field, Until he got hurt and then things got really bad.

    Just my opinion though.

I thought Schotty changed the system because Brett said it was to complex.

Stats tell part of th story, b/c his stats looked good against SD is meaningless as his #s were made in garbage time. he was terrible early in the year w/ the exception of the Ari game. His best stretch of football BY FAR was in November so how did he not get better?
