Yea, at that point I agree with you that you have to go. It was a no brainier at that point. However, if you had kicked the field goal earlier (which would have meant a 2 point game after the punters whiff) then you ABSOLUTELY kick the field goal and put the game in your d's hands!!! Rex in typical Rex fashion blows all his timeouts and challenges and makes no half time adjustments. We had this game if Bowles has a fucking clue and takes the points at the end. I can't remember being this mad after a game in years.
The NFL has gone the way of the NBA. No defense allowed, one player (QB) is all that matters. Players are all super chummy. Half the QBs in the league right now have a QB rating higher than Montana's career rating. It's not the same sport.
I agree with you on this. This was hardly Advanced Coaching 3 we were watching tonite. The Jets had many opportunites to pull this game out and didn't. Why? It was the coaching definetly and in particular, Chan Gailey. I blame Bowles for talking this coachasaurus off his couch.
