Ok fair weather newbie. That's great . I hope for your sake a moderator doesn't see this. There's no need to curse. But I guess that long ride to LI with all that pressure to get there by 5:30 made you a little cranky.

    Wah wah F***ing WAH.

Oh, I need to leave with 5 minutes left on the clock so I can avoid traffic...

Oh we were loud today when we needed to be, how would you know Alio, you weren't there...

    BULLSHIT.

FLAT OUT BULLSHIT, ALL OF IT.

    1) I don't want to hear your pissy pants stories about getting caught in traffic. Boodamnhoo. Like I said, if you don't want to be there for the game, give up your seats. If my number ever frigging comes up and I get season tickets, you can be damn sure I won't be worrying about the traffic. I'll be there for kickoff, and I'll be there when the game clock hits 0:00.

    2) How do I know how loud it was? Like I said, I could hear TRENT F***ING GREEN call audibles at the LOS. I watched the Giants game after, and in the third quarter, with the Giants within the 10, Eli's own TEAMMATES couldn't hear him because the Washington crowd was so loud.

But I'll also point to someone who was there for his take, since I wasn't in attendance, so how could I know what I'm talking about. Dan Dierdorf, the clown that he is, INSULTED YOU REPEATEDLY for how quiet it was. How's that feel? Dan Dierdorf.

Don't give me this bullshit that fans don't affect the outcome on defense. They only don't affect the outcome for Jets "home" games.

As for the guys early in the thread who said my rant wouldn't pertain to individuals on the board, obviously it did. And they only cemented my point by defending themselves NOT CHEERING.

Give up your seats and let REAL FANS attend the games.

2 Jets home games, 2 embarassing showings by the fans.

Well actually there has been one fan on this site that has admitted to leaving early(Gator, you're weak.) Real fans as you say have the opportunity to go to games, yet they are still sitting on their couches complaining about the fans that spend their hard earned money and travel to go to the games.

The crowd was much better today than the opener, much better.

I didnt go to the game(Id like to) but lets be fair.......It was 2 winless teams who dont have much firepower or big time players.

Now id be shocked if the Jets fans werent loud and ready when the Giants ''host'' the Jets in 2 weeks, even if thats a game for giant season ticket holders.

Dierdorf did repeatedly say that the crowd was very quiet today. At leat once in the first half and at least once in the second half.

Let the Dan Dierdof bashing begin!!!

My question is, why aren't these so called "real fans" going to the games and pumping up the crowd?

Those who do go "get" to spend their money.

I'd spend it, but my kids will probably be in college before I get a chance to become a season ticket holder.

It's not about me sitting on my couch because I "want" to. It's about me sitting on my couch because I don't have a choice.

And by better, if you mean they didn't cheer for any injuries today. Yeah, you're right.

I was there, and it really was pathetic. I don't know what's wrong with our fans this year, but it has to be something more than a missing Fireman Ed.

Leaving the game early today was inexcusable to those of you who did. If you care more about avoiding traffic more than your team, then please, give up your tickets.

I let the Chad thing go b/c I gave our fans the benefit of the doubt, hoping that they were just cheering for Clemens. But, maybe there is something wrong with our fanbase afterall.

Oh, btw, I can attest to the being told to sit down and shut up. The few games I've managed to get a ticket to I've been told to sit down and shut up too.

You people think I have a "big mouth" on the boards? You should hear me at Yankees or Jets games.

The reason the crowd was better was because the team was actually in the game instead of being blown out. Lets be honest here. In two (2) games I've only seen two (2) three (3) and outs. That doesn't generate a lot of faith in the Defense. As for me, I've been to every game since the team moved to the Meadowlands. I've been there through the good (Playoffs) and the bad (Kotite) and I take offense to the name calling and the general attitude of everyone who has posted here today. After reading the venom and insults that have been cast around, it makes me sad that I'm a Jets fan. THIS is KINDERGARDEN SH..!!! GROW UP!!!

It?s all fun and games until Fireman Ed goes down with an injury. Fireman Ed does nothing but win ? hope that warrior is back soon so he can snap the crowd into shape.

If you're taking your cues from Dan Dierdorf, kill yourself.

I just wish everyone at home heard the cheering when we honored Wayne Chrebet. Unfortunately, it did not carry over into the game.

And the reason there is never enough cheering is because a lot of season ticket holders just sell their tickets to random people who arent real fans.

The point is if you're not going to do anything about it you have no right to complain. You don't need season tix to go the the games, you could always get tickets any time you want.

I have been to pretty much every home game for the last ten years and this crowd today was far from the worst one I have seen. Entering after kickoff and leaving early has always been a problem and that won't change for whatever reason.

I'm not taking cues from Dierdorf. It was blatantly obvious just watching the game, and we're even getting people who attended chiming in about how pathetic it was.

The reference to Dierdorf was simply because if that douchebag is able to point it out, it's about as obvious as knowing you're screwed as you watch a tornado come right at you.

Seeing the Washington crowd make Eli Manning unable to communicate with his team this afternoon made me feel that much worse that we never seem to have homefield advantage.

If you're feeling insulted by what I've posted today, then the problem is yours. In my first post, I specifically apologized to any ticket holders that do actually cheer. So if you're feeling insulted, it's because this whole rant pertains directly to you.

What am is feeling annoyed that I have to read garbage like this every week when I'd rather be talking about the game. This is what you have to contribute? Whining about the fans not making enough noise? Seriously, give it a rest.

People leave early every week? Thanks for bringing this shocking issue to light. I really don't care what other Jet fans do and I don't know why anyone else does either. It's not my problem and it certainly isn't the Jets defense problem or the reason why they can't stop anyone. People complain about the negativity when the Jets lose, but when the Jets win and its a home game then there's 10 topics about how terrible the crowd was.

Topics like this are a broken record. Why are people so consumed with the actions of other Jets fans?

Well, actually I didn't go today because I went week 1 and went to BAltimore and I wanted to go to my kids soccer game. I mean...if it's OK with everybody. You're right, though. This year it's a real pain in the ass. But for the last 20 years, we try to get out fast and do indeed get to LI by 5:30..because of our secret way that I can't tell you :)

Anybody that tells me to get rid of my tickets ..go to bed right now. That's right, I'm ordering you to bed. Are you gonna go? Exactly......so STFU about my tickets.

    Alio........get a job. :)

The thing I never understand is that enough people leave early to avoid traffic, doesn't that defeat the purpose.

I see both sides, to a degree. I bought someone's season tickets for one season (unfortunately, Kotite's first). There is nothing worse than sitting in the Meadowlands at 7:00 p.m. in November after a loss. But if you put down the money for tickets, then I assume it means enough to you to devote the time (and $) to the games 8 Sundays a year.

Topics like this are no more of a broken record than the thousands of "Chad has no arm and can't beat good teams" threads. I have to say that it is interesting to discuss the crowd because I think there are some legitimate concerns.

When the Jets win and the QB leads the team to 24 points and scores 3 TDs himself with a rating of 112 and no turnovers, I don't want to read about how terrible people think he is. I don't understand why people are consumed with criticizing a guy who has been the second best QB the Jets have ever had, came back when everyone thought he was done, and has been a model player and Jet. I don't understand why everyone is consumed with replacing a QB who deserves respect. I don't understand why people can't see that he is the main reason the Jets made the playoffs last year. Today on the way to the game, Francesa called McNair a "warrior." I happen to think McNair stinks and his constant injuries and continual "questionable" status have hurt his teams over the years. But why McNair is a warrior and Pennington is an "egg" defies my comprehension. Mark my words - Pennington will leave the Jets in 2-3 years and will lead some other team to a SB. Put Pennington on the Bears or Vikings and they are SB caliber teams.

To sum it up, if you don't like threads about the crowd, don't read them. I would rather not read another thread about the QB issue, but I know that won't happen.
