first off, yes there is absolutely seniority; and part of that is knowing your place. If you want to come off looking like a condescending know-it-all, go for it, you're on the right track. If you want to be respected, post your opinion in a respectful manner taking the time and place into account.

And I did read all of the thread, including your responses.

And absolutely not about the vCash. I don't even use mine, I didn't know I had any, but nonetheless, it's not going to you.

Yeah, umm... What's wrong with Ziggy Hood? He looks like a great prospect for a DE in the 3-4. Right it now it looks a bit early for him to go, but do some research on him. He sounds like a great player. Getting him in the 2nd might look more realistic right now, but I'll bet he moves up draft boards.

What's wrong with Donald Brown in the 2nd? He's one of the top 5 RB prospects in this draft. He just came off of a season in which he ran for 2000 yards, averaged 5.7 yards a carry and scored 18 times. I'm not sold on an RB in the 2nd unless we made some big free agent signings, but he is definitely worthy of a 2nd round selection. I don't understand why that's so crazy to you...

I don't know that he will make it to our 2nd round Pick. Wells, Moreno, and McCoy are all probably 1st rounders and I see Greene as the next back and he'll probably go in the top 35-40 range, but if he slides to us (assuming we went defense in the first round) I'd be all for taking him. I see some similarities in his power running a little bit like TJ.

i was being sarcastic about the vCash.

how am i "sounding" condescending, when your reading what I post?

I do show respect to everyone on this forum. I DO NOT show respect to someone who chooses to lace his replies with arrogant insults, under the façade that he's "the most respected" person on mock drafts. Respect is earned not given.

    I go to UConn.
Yes. He is a gymrat. Unbelieveable video with him squatting 600+ on youtube.
Yes. He has great balance and knows how to use his body.
Yes. He accumulated all of those yards on subpar teams, like Hofstra, Temple, Buffalo, Baylor and Virginia.

Whereas, you have runningbacks like Moreno, Green, Ringer, who ran against defenses far more talented, faster, stronger, and better coached than those in UConn's schedule.

I am the first to admit when a player is good. Donald Brown is good. But his stats alone are not worthy of a 1st or 2nd Rd selection IMO, when there are far more talented backs to choose from, plus, I wouldnt even draft a runningback this year. When our needs are clearly mired in the defense.

If I had to though, I would be happy with him in the 3rd or 4th round.

The Jets should probably draft a power back in the mid (3-5) rounds. The pick would both work now (short yardage situations) and if TJ went down (classic Thunder-Lightning tandem w/Leon). My favorites would be Arian Foster in the 4th or Andre Brown in the 5th. Of course, my favorite power back in the draft is Shonn Greene, but that's not happening (or at least shouldn't be).

Shonn Green in thd 2nd would be a great pick.

Some mocks have him falling into the 3rd, and we have an early pick in the 3rd.

AMEN. I like Foster, or Brown. But yes Shonn Greene impressed me, but how about the running back from Virginia....Cedric Peerman?

Cedric Peerman is more of an all-purpose back...he runs with toughness, but his lack of size won't allow him to do that in the pros.

Peerman can return kicks, catch passes, and spell a big back - but he definitely won't be a powerback in the NFL.

    He's worth a 6th or 7th round pick...

I would cream myself if we got Shonn Greene in the third.

As far as Peerman goes, he is a football player. You can never have too many of those, but as MrE said, he won't be running with much power in the NFL due to his size. Peerman would be good for returns and special teams and as a panic button if a starter gets injured. I expect him to be one of those "good backup" types, where you have them around and they do well when they get their touches but their performance nosedives when you have to really rely on them.

Also, his stride looks really weird to me. He doesn't really pick up his feet so much as slide them, railroad-track style - Isn't that something that track runners do? Also, while he doesn't really take care of the ball that well (holds it kind of low) he surprisingly doesn't fumble often. Huh. Guess he's got one hell of a grip.

thats my point. im not wild about peerman, but our need is not at RB, its on defense.

suppose shonn greene falls to us, and theres a team that wants him, idk, Seahawks, Redskins, Ravens.... teams that have a franchise runningback but who can never remain healthy.

I wouldnt mind taking a runningback with 6th or 7th pick.

There could also be the scenario where the Jets trade draft picks to move up. but it wont be to grab Greene, It would be to get a DE/DT/LB/DB.

We are going defense this year in the 1st, unless Crabtree (the top athlete in the draft) falls to us, which I highly doubt.

All of us "predicted" the Raiders would suck this year, you didn't.
