I do. How much he signed will dictate what kind UFA we can sign because of these stupid final 8 rules.

terms were not disclosed. We won't be able to know.

I can't see him getting close to 1 Mil for this season. The Jets will be able to find a ST only guy just like Wallace.

Exactly. That was the point of my previous post in this thread.

Wright probably got a little over the league minimum.

I have faith in Westhoff. Wright and Carroll were both great last year so it is a little sad seeing them go.

On the other hand, we'll be looking at all sorts of slot receivers, corners and safeties, so if we sign someone with decent talent I'm sure they could fill in on STs just fine.

If the Jets decide to go corner heavy they could pick up McCourty at 29. He's a ST ace and he could immediately walk in a be a very good nickel CB.

If Westoff is any worth as a coach, he can coach up other guys to fill the role. I hate to see Wallace go, but have confidence in the staff to fill the spot.

This offseason has not been a good one so far, that is a big loss.

Wright did actually line up a WR a number of times this year, but almost every time it was a running play. He was an excellent downfield blocker in that respect, but whenever I sqw him in the slot, it was obviously a run.

Definitely this. I forgot about what a beast Ihedigbo was as on STs. He'll probably be flying downfield in the gun with Brad Smith next season.

It sure seems like ST's are not being considered as a high priority. We still haven't signed Dearth either.
