I was hoping for griffen but OL was a need and ducasse was a good fit. Solid pick for us. Not a blockbuster but could be a season-saver if 1 or more of our linemen go down this year

Love this pick. Now we can try to trade Faneca.

It was between him or Cam Thomas for me. No complaints here and great value yet again.

I can't see anyone giving up anything other than a 6th or 7th for Faneca, since it's basically common knowledge that he's going to be cut.

The only way someone would trade for Faneca is if they thought that other teams might be interested in him after he was cut. Even then teams will not trade for him due to the money in the contract. Faneca will be cut.

Word is he played LT in college and projects to RT or guard. RT and LG happen to be the oldest players on our line, so good pick for us.

You guys saying they can now dump Faneca are nuts. This guy didn't play big time college football and from what everyone says he's very talented but very raw.

Tanny is playing this year's draft completely differently from years past and its just a shame he doesn't have more DP's to work with. We're building depth, adding youth, and preparing for a future without guys like Cromartie and Faneca should that happen.

I don't think Faneca will necessarily be traded or cut, we might keep him around and develop Vlad behind him for 2011.

I think we are drafting safe players.....Griffen is a boom or bust type guy and I think Gholston has scared us off of those.

This guy is not going to start this year. Everything I read is that he is raw. Callahan is a great coach. A future pick.

I wonder if Slauson is developing into anything?

Yeah, Matt Slauson, 6th rounder out of Nebraska last year. Ducasse is the more heralded prospect and I trust Callahan to mold him in to whatever role he fulfills this year (backup swing man, Faneca's replacement, etc.)

Plus, I'm pretty sure Pouha slots in aside from Ellis, and he was a fine NT last year.

Very happy with this, although I'd keep Faneca for one more year.Let the rookie sit and learn.

    This is a great pick!

BUT, theres no way Decasse is ready to come into the NFL and start. One more year of Faneca, and then Decasse can take over.

i called this pick back in late jan or early feb.

exactly who I wanted and what we needed for quality OL depth and the heir apparent at RT who could fill in at G if an emergency arose.

a mauler with surprising agililty for his size.

uses his hands well and will only get better with more coaching.

he only lasted this long cuz of where he played. point blank

Was hoping for Griffen or Sapp but with Pace, Cactus and now faggot JT (sorry still need to call that faggot a faggot) we have a good OLB rotation. OL depth is key
