You cannot hesitate in football, that is the worst thing that you could possibly do. Hesitating will either get you hurt or someone else hurt. If your gonna make a mistake it better be at 110 mph.

Whether it's obvious trolling or not it's right. I'd rather have him holding or just smashing the wrong guy then sitting around doing nothing.

he's not doing nothing, he's getting mentally beat.

If he holds, it'll be 3rd and 35 every series.

    exactly.

But he's got enough "fans" on this board to start a club, so please dont talk about him!!

I cannot believe he was a 2nd round pick. I thought the same thing last season. when he was drafted I was happy because I felt the Jets needed to draft O-line, but after last preseason and now tonight's god awful performance I am shocked. You dont draft "a project" with "raw ability" (i dont see it) in the 2nd ROUND. thats what rounds 6 and 7 were for : a nice place for duc.

    The lock-out certainly hasn't helped

It wouldn't be TGG without a thread being started based off of one half of a preseason game.

    Lol, I like...

He's got a lot of work to do and his progress is really discouraging, but keep in mind he has 1 year of work in as a project, and that's pretty much it. This lockout was the worst for his development. He needs another year before we can fairly assess his skills.

Analysis of a players game performance.

Anyone who locks him in for sucking ass his whole career is stupid.

    Even you know this.

Not going to lock him in for sucking his entire career, but I'm getting to the point where I'd put money on it.

How would you know? You allegedly haven't been here since last preseason.

One year in and development at 3 different spots on the line...after he played a 4th in college.

It's silly to write him off, but I said before if the FO didn't like what they saw out of our OL depth, they'd address it. When roster cuts start coming in, I'm sure they'll start looking at someone who can step up to backup the tackle spots.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but did he give up a sack at 3 different positions tonight?

    That's unheard of...

Vlad has a ton of physical talent, but at the moment his football instincts are piss poor. I'm disappointed by what i've seen so far, but I won't call the guy a bust. (although bear in mind I said the same thing about Vernon his second year). But unlike Ghost, Vlad was a known project when he was drafted at the bottom of the second round.

I won't lie, I'm disappointed with his performance, I expected more for a second year player...but it may also be a case of having had overly optimistic hopes for improvement over the past year.

you cant write him off yet, mainly because of his run blocking (it was good night for him in that area),
but my god he needs to work on his pass blocking.
that was awful. just awful. they need to make sure he doesnt have to block for sanchez in the regular season or else we might want to get used to mcelroy

I saw 2. One at RT and the other at LG, the other one was his fault too even though he was sat on the bench.
