"Also, this is not Jets news. The real thread is in the NFL forum." You guys can tell how upset someone may or may not be through the internet? Pretty cool, I guess. Seriously now, it is much ado about nothing. Too many Edwards and Testaverde-ish threads go into the Jets forum and clogs it. Somebody wrote a real good thread today in a bizarre forum and it got no action. (I didn't say anything about it, though. It stayed in the wrong forum and vanished off the first page there.) Was just trying to help out. Again, I don't know how this- "Also, this is not Jets news. The real thread is in the NFL forum"- is so bad. This is like the time I wrote, "Baseball is good again" and got two Yankess (not a typo on my part) fans upset.
Erm, probably because you felt the need to instantly respond and link to your thread, and then when people responded to his and not yours, you felt the need to reiterate that yours was in the proper forum. And yes, the Yankess fans should have been upset because you were blatantly rubbing it in that they lost, or at least that is the context I'm assuming. This is dumb.
Nobody gives a shit who started it. Exit 117 just likes to stir up shit. He took a shot at me in a TD celebration thread because he hates me after I jokingly suggested he get sick after eating too many turkey sandwiches the night of a Mets game after he told me I was an ass for not eating turkey. In the future, if you see me upset with a poster, there is a good reason for it.
Just because it's about the past doesnt mean it's not Jets news anymore. Really, I could have went either way on that topic. But I saw you made one in here. So either way. Hahaha. I love the way you get crazy about this shit cakes. :breakdance:
New to the board? You know how many times people do that? I see it quite frequently. I do it once in a blue moon (I can't even think of another time I did it) and heck breaks loose.
No. He's right. He's on to me! I've come here only to start shit, especially with him. I go over each and everyone one of his posts with a fine-toothed comb, gleaning for anything that I can use to start with him.
I'll assume you get so upset you don't even know what you are saying half the time. It's not really worth your time, but if you get bored one night, do a search and you'll see what I am referencing. You were dealing with your injury at the time you snapped on me. I do look at things like that and am willing to overlook stuff like that.
Oh, well, thank God. Now i'll be able to sleep now that you've overlooked it. Edit: and, oh, I didn't mean like I don't remember, which I don't, but I have no idea what you're even trying to say.
You are correct. He played only 20 seasons in the NFL. *** Update (rather than bumping this thread with another post, I'll add it here): I just realized that the original title of this thread was removed. The original title was "Patriots run up score; Testaverde throws TD pass." I wanted this thread to be about Belichick's decision to run up the score a bit more than I wanted it to be about the Testaverde touchdown. Unfortunately, this thread turned into neither. People assumed I was angry when that wasn't the case at all. (We know what happens when you assume.) Of course, I then became angry particularly when one certain individual chimed in. edit: There have been about a dozen posters who I have had problems with in 2006. One of them posted in this thread and really got me upset. Previously I was not mad, although people assumed I was based on post #11 of this thread. Of those dozen or so posters, only about 4 or 5 still annoy me. Going forward, I will have to do my best to not get into it with them. Otherwise, I'll have innocent bystanders like TommyGreen getting on my case, too. That's when it really sucks. All in all, the end result was a bad year for me here. I have to go about things a different way or leave.
Hey all... turn your anger towards me, a Pats fan!  Anyway, FYI, all week there were stories about Vinny getting that record, and they tried to deflect it all week long, so when he came in, everyone knew what it was about. It was about the record. Now, that said, the way the Titans played certainly made it easy for Belichick to OK that move. And as for running up the score, the NFL allows the team opposite the offense to play defense. If they didn't want the score going up, they could have played some. (OK, that was a jerky comment  ) When all is said and done, I really like Jeff Fisher. I like the way he coaches and he is a stand up guy. I really liked how he handled the Haynsworth situation. I think both Belichick and Fisher let this get out of hand. Each one is no better or worse the way it turned out.
If the Patriots rushed for a TD I wouldn't have made a peep. It's when a team passes when up big late, that it bothers me a tad. The record thing is funny to me. Last year when Testaverde threw a late TD pass on 12-26-05, I found it funny that anybody would care about such a record. It just isn't too significant. To boot, both TDs were thrown in garbage time.
Wow Congratulations Vinny Testaverde on 20 consecutive seasons with a Touchdown, you truly are the greatest quarterback of all time!!!!
