But if oak "exposed" him then how did he do so well in leading us back to the div rd? By the way Pre-Chad we only played 2 playoff games in the same year 4 times in our history('68, '82, '86, '98) and Chad has done it twice- The ONLY QB in Jets history to do so.

Championjets69 is a warning sign to all of us on the toll excessive devotion to the Jets can have on a person...turn him into a bitter pedantic who sees the half-empty glass in every instance. He'd have sent Secretariat to the glue factory the second she lost her first race.

JWN lost the championship game to KC in 69 which was the only playoff game the Jets played that year. There wasnt any wild card game and just 2 divisions in the NFL then. Each division winner played in a playoff game with the winner going to the SB.
IN Junc's scenario about Jets QB's who have played in 2 or more playoff games in one year, he is right.
Penny is the only Jets QB to play/start in 2 or more playoff games in a season more than once.

Nope SLW you are incorrect JWN lost a trumped up wild card game to KC in 69. KC then went on to beat Oak in the championship game to appear in SB4. So JWN also played in 2 dufferent PO years which is what junk the junc is claiming CP is the only NYJ QB to do that.

No, read it again. Junc is saying that Penny is the only QB to play in 2 playoff games in 1 season more than once.
JWN did it in 68. You just said that they lost to the Chiefs in 69 which was their only playoff game that year.

    His quote:

He didnt include 04 in his numbers so it would be 5 times in Jets history did the Jets play in 2 playoff games in the same season.

    JWN - 68
    Penny -02 & 04

The following QB's will be cut under Champ's scenario of never having made it to the SB:

    Eli Manning
    Brunnell
    Simms
    Vick
    Brees
    Kitna
    Any of the Bears QBs
    Smith
    Bulger
    Culpepper
    Pennington
    Holcomb
    Carson
    Volek
    Carr
    Manning
    Leftwich
    Green
    Plummer

And the following belong in the Hall of Fame for accomplishing this feat:

    Dilfer
    Woodley
    Hoestetley
    Rypien
    Kapp
    Feragamo
    Brad Johnson
    Collins
    Bledsoe
    O'Donnell
    Chandler
    Humphries
    Eason
    Morton
    Kilmer

I only included pre-Chad so now overall it's 6 times w/ Chad doing it twice, Namath once, Todd once, Ryan once, Vinny once.

H'mm I do not think NOD ever won a SB as a starter. Are you just including QBs that played in the SB SLW?

He clearly states the lists are of QBs who did not make the SB and those who did.

OK now back to JWN in 68 he played in the AFL championship game then played & won the SB. That to my way of thinking is back to back PO games. Then the next year he played in a trumped up wild card game which SLW Buttleman said was the championship game which is was not. Now Penny he exited in the 1st round 2 twice I think & went 2 rounds in another so he made the POs 3Xs to JWN 2. If you are saying that is a major acheivement for CP where are the rings & championship flags? Just think even such a ugh QB as Dilfer has a ring as does big Ben & Brady has 3 & CP has zero. Is that all correct?

Stop looking at your SLW list and try to understand the post. You are still not understanding so I guess JUNC should use the US ARMY method of KISS with you so that you would be able to understand.
How many Jets QB's have played in 2 or more playoff games in 1 season?
Is that simple enough for you?
For someone who claims they know so much, you really know so little.

Man are you stubborn besides no sense what a terrible combination. There is a trumped up PO system for 69. The 1st place team in the AFL east played the 2nd team in the AFL west & the 1st place team in rge AFL west plated the 2nd place team in the AFL east. Then the winners of those 2 games played for the AFL championship. Got it now or do I have to use even easier words for you to grasp it. Anyway you want to call it in the 69 there was a WC game under whatever name you chose to call it that floats your boat. Maybe I should make a classification SDSLW for you

JWN in 68 & CP how easy is that? What did we get from CP appearances? How many rings & flags has he brought us?

Read the above post Mr. SLW.
Whatever the circumstances, Jets still played in 1 PO game in 69, not 2, which was the basis for Junc's scenario.

So JWN still got them into the POs in back to back years just like dear CP. What is so hard to understand about that?

    Learn to read...

Junc is talking about the QB's that have led the Jets to two postseason games in the same year, not who has led them to the postseason in general.

Pennington has done it twice, Namath only did it once.

He is not counting seasons where they led the teams to only one postseason game.

2 postseason games in 1 season:

    Chad - Twice
    Namath - Once

That is what Junc is talking about.

I swear, it took my cat shorter time to learn to use the toilet than you comprehending what these guys are trying to say.
