The offense does suck because of a lack of talent, but that's no excuse for sucking THIS bad. How can you seriously watch last night's game and surmise that Sparano is a good coach and deserves another year? How about the 8 times the offense has scored 17 or less points this season. 8 times out of 14. That's terrible and any decent coach would get more than that out of this roster. I never said Callahan was great, I just said he's better than Sparano. That's not saying much. He made a QB with a similar skillset to Mark Sanchez, league MVP. I'd say he's at least a decent coach. He'd have this offense playing slightly better and although I wished they would've thought more outside the box at other candidates, if it indeed came down to Sparano and Callahan - they made a horrendous choice. Also - - You can't give Rex credit for having this team in the playoff "hunt" this year. Aside from Week 1, Not once were they even in a position to declare themselves a playoff team if the season ended. The "hunt" consisted of a terrible football team capitalizing on a weak schedule and relying on several unlikely combinations of help to get in.. Considering that was a long shot all along - AND - they DIDN'T win those games, they were never in the hunt.
Watch the game again. Before the Tebow series we moved the ball well and could not convert. 4 of the 5 turnovers occured after the Tebow drive. We were a complete mess after that.
