If Chad was being held truly accountable by the coaching staff then excessive checking down would cost him playing time, even if he was completing meaningless passes on the checkdowns. The coaching staff is not holding him fully accountable and that lead to us scoring only 14 points against a terrible defense last weekend.
Chad will make a good QB coach or even and offensive coordinator someday but it's time to give KC a shot.
Well said. We all like Chad for the most part, but feel that if Clemens is going to be the guy, than give him a shot.
The year is still early so it's hard to see them cutting into Chad's playing time right now. But if he continues playing this way through October and a change isn't made, the CS definitely takes some heat. Mangini named Chad the outright starter months ago, so it's hard for him to bail after 1 month IMO. I do believe if this keeps up, he will be benched. I just think the CS is giving him a bit more time to try and right himself. Should be interesting to see who starts today, with Chad's injury suddenly popping back up in the news.
at this point in the season u have lost all credibility with this post. There is nothing you can say that will support your cause
The man cannot play QB in the NFL any more. I don't care how many screen passes he can complete to boost his completion percentage and rating he's just not a good QB and he has not been a good QB since the first two games last year. No arm means no play in the NFL unless you have a second year coach who is like a bird hypnotized by a snake's gaze. I am beginning to believe that what we are seeing this year is that not only Chad, but Eric Mangini also, are not up to competing in the NFL.
