Vernon Gholston is so awful that this thread should remain on the front page till the draft. *not sticky, just constantly used. I myself am not creative, so i'll just watch*
Vernon Gholston is so bad, that if Brett Favre offered to lay down, like he did for Strahan, Vernon still wouldn't get the sack.
VG is so awful that I don't think Raiderjoe would even advocate for the Raiders to pick him up, despite his 40 time.
STANDING OVATION!!! Even after that 45-3 ass whuppin' they put on us. I said the Patriots were good but OVERRATED. It was their hatred and all out vitriol for the Jets that resulted in that win. And most of the teams they beat were intimidated out the gate, sort of like Mike Tyson early in his career. This team, is NOT that great! Great point Abyzmul, you hit the nail on the head with that one.
Mr. T. on Gholston: “He’s been given his fair share of opportunities and it might be time to move on.”
I keep opening this thread in the hopes that it will one day contain some language specific to his release.
Belichick gets the credit for Welker, the offensive scheme change, Danny Woodhead, etc. He's the guy that does the grocery shopping. He should get the blame when players fail with his team as well.
He might be a top 5 all time bust, simply because he's never legitimately been a starter and since he was drafted so high, who else has failed so miserably?
Are you talking Jet all-time busts or league wide? Jet busts, for sure he's top 5, league wide not sure if he's top 5. I guess we're all told not to judge a player until he's in year 3, how many folks out there needed 3 years to come to the realization that VG absolutely sucked? For me the moment was crystal clear - the Denver game when he had a clear shot at Cutler and couldn't catch him because it looked like VG had a bag of shit in his pants. Game over...
