Did Meyer recruit Fields to OSU?

Even Justin Fields father would take Trevor Lawrence at #1

No, I also don't see why Meyer is going to pick Fields only because he has ties to OSU. Meyer would still likely pick TLaw.

Ryan Day is the reason Fields is at OSU

    1. Head coach Ryan Day is a big reason he is at Ohio State.

Specifically, Day’s pro experience (he coached quarterbacks for the Eagles and 49ers) drew Fields to the Buckeyes.

“He knows what it takes to get quarterbacks to the NFL, so just the offensive mind he has, I can tell that he’s a smart guy so that’s why,” Fields said.

He also called Day a players’ coach.

“He builds great relationships with the players,” Fields said. “You see the support with the players. I talked to guys who were here before and they said they liked him as a coach. That was another reason why.”

A lot of you guys making up things in your heads that Jags pick Fields. Stop dreaming and come back to reality.

I just hope UM gets full control and takes Fields like the arrogant prick he is.

I do need to watch more of Fields, but I've seen a ton of Lawrence, and I never have seen the kind of guts, will to win, and leadership from him that I saw from Fields vs Clemson the other night. Fields is a better runner, is faster, and is more accurate on throws over 20 yards. That's a fact. Their statistics are also pretty darned even. It's not nearly as one sided as you're suggesting.

It's certainly possible. He was coach there from 2012-2018. Fields began playing at OSU in the fall of 2018.

The difference is TL has that alligator blood and doesn’t have the weapons Fields had. Plus TL never had a stinker game. Fields has had 2 and is why McShay dropped him from 2 to 9 in his rankings. I’m sure he’ll be back to 2 if he impresses vs Bama.

Todd McShay is almost never right. I really don't know how he keeps his job. Lawrence has had just as good a weapons as Fields has had. Do the names Travis Etienne, Tee Higgins, Wayne Gallman, Amari Rodgers, Justyn Ross, and Hunter Renfrow ring any bells?

He's had Amari Rogers, and he has had two young WRs Cornel Powell (882 receiving yards), EJ Williams (306 receiving yards), TE Braden Galloway (369 yards).

The weapons are pretty much equal and any difference is negligible. Most big time college quarterbacks play with a bevy of weapons. There are some exceptions but both have had good options.

McShay also rated Darnold as the best QB he's seen since Luck and I believe his second highest rated QB ever. So there's that.

He's had Etienne his entire collegiate, bro. Why make things up or assume you know something you don't? It's so easy to look up if you didn't know.

Rogers got hurt early then TL got Covid. They played 2-3 games together. You just said it. He played with young WRs that he was breaking in on the fly.

Lawrence has the IT factor and has had IT since high school. So has Fields and like I stated before he impressed me last game and has rebuilt his draft stock with that tremendous performance vs Clemson. It does make me feel better but he needs a lot of work inside the pocket, reading progressions and most of all reading defences.

He played all twelve games. Another fallacy you just made up.
