Anything is possible, but I think this is a good situation for him. He's a really good coach and program builder. His personality doesn't scream college like Spurrier's, but he's also not the ultra dictator-type like Saban. With a potential franchise QB, low expectations, I think there's a good chance Urban will succeed.
He’ll get a longer leash in Jacksonville than he would just about anywhere else in the nfl and the jags will get a nice bump in attendance but o really doubt he sees any real success.

He's obviously a very savvy guy and he has some idea of how he would structure an NFL team. However I think Khan is telling prospective coaches he's going with TL and don't join the team unless you are on board. TL will raise the price of the franchise by $1B and will bring the city another $1B. Its a no brainer IMO.
No, Khan is looking at the profits to be made. Urban Meyer: Huge huge name in north Florida after his days with the Gators in Gainesville, only an hour from Jacksonville. Most Jags fans are already Gator fans, and this would probably bring on board a lot more Gator fans. Trevor Lawrence: Highly marketable, everyone in the country already knows his name. He was a superstar in high school in Georgia, and Jacksonville basically borders Georgia, so Lawrence was a big name there even before Clemson. It makes so much financial sense, and while I don’t think that should be the focus of an organization’s football decisions, it’s pretty clear that’s what Khan is thinking about.
Well, he is assistant athletic director at Ohio State now, so may have seen Fields walk around the campus once or twice. Why all the Urban hate though? Urban Meyer is the epitome of a college coach - he's really good at ordering people around, being the god figure and savior of young men on campus, and basically being unimpeachable. He excels in that role - one of the best ever. But that usually doesn't play well in the NFL with grown ass men making millions of dollars. Especially when you've got no track record to back it up.
