Yet again talking like someone that hasn't been watching Jets games. Obvious, at times.

It would be nice to have a guy like Julio Jones:

    -6'3" 220lbs

    -Blazing deep threat

-Physical, can go up and get the ball.

Anyone available to draft like that this year?

Could replace Plaxico and spread the secondary for the short passes to help out Sanchez..

To be honest I am almost at the point were we resign Plax and move up in the draft for Blackmon, just like ATL did for Jones.

Sign a safety/RT in free agency and call it a day....

Sanchez line protected him and they ran the ball the last 2 years and Sanchez was still awful. Any Jet fan that would turn down Manning and stick with a QB like Sanchez who has showed very little in 3 years would be crazy. An older gimp Manning would still be better than what Sanchez is and has shown so far the first 3 years. This team just cant seem to ever get an elite QB. Rex can back his team all he wants but you know he prefers Manning but just cant admit it publicly.

Leonhard and a 2nd for blackmon pick?

Then also draft a quality safety and get another one through free agency

Greene is the least of our problems. If he got more than 20 carries last game we would have won. That isn't really a question in my mind. Playcalling has been an issue for 3+ years now. I gave Schotty the benefit of the doubt in 2010 because Sanchez was still n00bish, but there's no excuse for the crap that's gone on this season.

I think it's more like Oline: 1A, receiver 1B (Schotty, already fired). The reason is, simply if the line is not protecting Sanchez, there won't be time to exploit any deep threats. Oline needs to do its job first and foremost. When they do, our receivers do pretty good. When they don't it looks like they don't even try. It sucks not having a legitimate deep threat, but I still honestly believe that we don't have a deep threat because we don't practice it or try enough during games. Honestly, how many pass attempts greater than 25 yards do we even have? Imagine if McKnight and Sanchez worked on that deep play constantly instead of just every now and then, I think they could have nailed it. It doesn't make sense to me that we don't at least try the deep shots more often. Last time we came close. The play action 1st down deep shot to Edwards last season was great. I wish we had that this year.

Um, the line was great in 2009, his rookie year when we ran the ball most of the time. In 2010, they were mediocre for most of the season, but stepped up late. This was mainly because Slauson was still getting used to the position, trying to take over for Faneca. In 2011, they have been up and down the entire year, even Mangold made several critical mistakes this year. Woody leaving hurt us much more than we thought because Hunter convinced us he was better late in the season / post season last year.

Any team in the NFL that would turn down Manning (that doesn't have Rodgers, Brees or Brady) needs their head examined. Sanchez has improved every year he's played here.

First, Sanchez has already made a few records in just 3 years among all Jets QBs of all time. With the defense we have, we don't need an elite QB, but Sanchez is still one of the best we've had since Namath. I like the way our team's built, we just need to fix up safety, the Oline, and a deep threat WR like Edwards, and we'll be good.

I know everyone loves to blame Sanchez for our issues, but our offensive line should absolutely be priority #1. Come on, I mean, Hunter almost got Sanchez several times this year.

Why does everyone think that Edwards is a savior? He is not going to solve every issue on this team, is he gonna play RT or cover a freakin tightend...

Screw Edwards move up and get a young wideout like Blackmon and sign a RT/Safety in free agency...

Shonn is averaging 4.2 yards per Carry and has 999 yards this season.
Gore, Foster, Rice, Jackson all are averging 4.4 yards per carry. Shonn has been running behind a poor offensive line for a large part of the season, especially the games where Mangold was out. All told Greene isn't the problem. He's not an explosive back, but he's been pretty solid.

We need to upgrade our Linebacking corp, badly, we're getting older and slow in the linebackers. Yes we need some safety help but I don't see that coming from the draft this year. We also need a deep threat receiver. Holmes is fine if you can hit him in stride, he's a YAC receiver but if you can't hit him in stride he loses his YAC.

Greene should be entering his most productive years. Shore up the line and he will be very successful. They do need a complimentary back like Leon Washington or Bruce Harper were. The real question is...is McKnight that guy

I'd rather work on the defense. With a stronger LB corp we can just keep chipping away with Greene and McKnight. I like McKnight this year. I think we have decent WRs... we have one of the best redzone offenses. I think we also need to get another TE. I hate seeing Mulligan get the ball.

We need a stud punter. Conley is terrible.
