Really? Huh, I could have sworn we received the Kendall pick, my mistake.

As for the Vilma deal, I thought it was a 4th for a 2nd, or nothing at all.

We get the Saints 3rd no matter what, but we are giving back a 4th(Jets 4th) to them.........It turns to a 2nd as said before if he resigns before a due date.

We get a 4th no matter what from WSH in the Kendall deal

-If the Saint's let Vilma get to the FA period they're stooopid.
-If they resign him before that and give up a #2 they're stooopid

    lol...

I'm just bitter. I actually want J-Villan back.
Just like the Whole Farrior BS, He'll go onto be great and we'll be stuck in the fuckin mudd.

We need to keep good players. We have a history of letting our best guys go.

Actually, it would be pretty funny if they let him get to FA and then WE sign him and trade him back to them for a second rounder. That way we get a 2nd and a 4th.

we would actually get a 2nd a 3rd and lose our 4th.... but no organization would do that if the player backstabbed them like that

It's too bad the stipulation had to be Vilma resigning with NO before the free agency period. If the stipulation were him resigning with the Saints at all, it would've made much more sense. As it stands now, NO and Vilma could have "gentleman's agreement" to re-sign after the start of the FA period.

That could be true, but New Orleans is taking a risk letting Vilma enter FA......money talks bulls..t walks. Vilma's agent will get as many offers as possible, or he wouldn't be doing his job.

Where in the article did it say anything about alcohol, drugs or a gun...also it says he was stop for reckless driving but Vilma had no idea why he was stopped. What a IDIOT!!

That's our genius GM at his best. That clause wasn't worth the ink to write it in. The only chance the Jets have now to get that 2nd is if somebody like Dallas comes out and says they are going after him like they did with Lewis. That could scare the Saints into not taking the chance if they really want to keep him badly enough.

The Saints gm basically came out and said he was never giving up a 2nd for Vilma. Vilma is a shell of what he once was. And he was never that good. For an injured Vilma Tannenbaum was able to get a 4th last year and swap a 4th for a 3rd this year. I doubt he could have gotten more then that.

That is basically what Tannenbaum is gambling on. Pretty weak gamble.

I think this could hamper Vilma's chances of being re-signed before the start of FA and our chance at the Saints' 2nd rounder. Not sure if the Saints will follow through, but it sounds like there's interest there. Doesn't Morgan play MLB like Vilma?
