Talk about fate...The Mets fan, who is from Queens...Was heading to Australia, him and his friend decided to attend the game tonight... How fortunate.
I would. He was a free agent this winter and nobody offered him a contract until SF finally did. I can't imagine anyone will this year either including SF.
Honestly, I 100% think Barry cheated and is a steroid user. I also agree with a few people that posted allready that Barry should not take all the blame. And to be honest, if Selig wanted him caught, Bonds would have been "randomly" drug tested long before now.... And now for my thoughts on the HOF, as many of you will disagree, hear me out on this. I think Barry should get in, along with any one else who used steroids in this era of the game. Think about, who could you let in without thinking, "you know if everyone else used, how do we know ______ didn't?" you don't. So unless Selig wishes to test everyone in the majors by next week (even if they stopped using tonight, it would be in there system next week) we won't know for sure who is, and who isn't on the roids. However, anyone from this era should be allowed in the hall steroids proven, speculated, or not at all suspected. And they should get their own wing, labeled the "Steroid Era." How can i say it's okay to allow cheaters in the hall? because i garuntee that there are several little people in baseball who are using as well, and even though they were on the roids, they weren't the best baseball players in history. So all though i think the roids helped, they still became the best ball players in history. so they deserve to be in, but they doesn't deserve to sit with the all-time greats who never cheated. All those in favor of a "Steriod Era" wing say I
Yahoo may have removed the * but sportsline now has one. http://www.sportsline.com/ and sportsillustrated..check out the name on his uniform. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/
anyone notice he was too into himself last night that he totally ignored his son who was standing in front of him trying to get his attention... speaks volumes about this guy
Wow, SI needs to learn how to photoshop. And cool that a Mets fan got the ball. Lets see what the new insta-celebrity does with it...
Clever use of the *, Koz. I like it. The watch now is to see if the Dodgers ever score a run again.
But yet if he was a Yankee or a Mut hed be forgivin and cheered . So its not a matter of juicing its a matter perception , and speculation. Barry never tested positive we all think he did so hes guilty. If he was so guilty why would Bud let him play look at Pete Rose. Or is it that Barry is a ratings boost for MLb and an attendance boost ? so its not Barry "U.S" Bonds thats to blame its Bud Ill suck baseball dry of its purity Selig.
You answered your own question. Not to mention, MLB will not admit its most dominant players were juicing. It would kill the sport. Selig & Co. will be fighting the investigation as much as possible to protect their "good name." BTW: Bonds has admitted taking something, but claims he didn't know what it was, so if he were actually tested regularly, he'd have been busted. Ignorance does not excuse you in a court of law, why should it here? Not to mention, when he got busted for amphetamines, he claimed he got them from a teammate's locker, and didn't know what he was taking. If you don't smell bullshit, you have a clothespin on your nose.
he's had a positive test. your post made no sense whatsoever. and no, I wouldn't cheer for him no matter what team he played for.
Barry has not has not had a positive steroid test. He may have tested positive for ampthetamines, which have been used like candy in baseball for decades. I just thought of this, I'm curious what people think. I think the best thing for Hank Aaron's legacy is for Bonds to completely shatter the record. So that when the next guy (be it A-Rod or someone in 30 years) is approaching it, an entire season is devoted to the buildup of that guy passing Aaron. As opposed to someone passing Aaron then Bonds in the same month.
