i am not concerned about stopping the run...i feel pretty confident in that....but there were 2 passes favre threw today that would have been picked by NE...favre turning the ball over is a concern...however if our defense and o-line play at the level they are then i think we have a great chance

if the Defense plays the way they've been playing, Favre doesn't turn the ball over and Schotty doesn't start up with the retarded playcalling again....we beat NWE....you heard it here first

Ya this is easily the biggest game of the year for us so far, and maybe all year. The likely scenario is this:

If we win we are in the drivers seat and almost guarenteed a playoff spot - if not a devision win.

If we lose we will be struggling for a wild card.

5 keys to the Pats game

    1. Behold the BenJarvus Green-Ellis effect. This guy besides Lynch will be probably our next big test as far as running backs go and this isnt a burner by any means....hes a physical back and is sort of like LenDale White(Next RB we see). Thankfully our D works better on the heavy backs as opposed to the burners but still this guy is someone you need to watch out for as he's quickly making a name for himself

    2. NE has a secondary consisted of Merriweather, a hurt Ellis Hobbs, the enigma Deltha O Neal who is very inconsistent and a meh safety in James Sanders. I really do think this is a game that Favre MUST play well to win the game as NE will focus upon Thomas Jones. This is a game that Favre was brought in for, Jones had much carries on Sunday so he may not be at full strength for Thursday while Favre wasnt tested much. This is where Coles and Cotchery have some big games and I think Cotch will do so as he tends to hurt NE.

    3. Field position is a must as it always is in every game.....But its absolutely vital as it always is in the NE/NYJ games. Steven Gostkowski has been automatic lately as he's missed only 2 FGs this entire year and was the team MVP in the 1st game with the Jets this year as he kept hurting us on kickoffs and on FGs. Hes been a Jet killer pretty much outside of his blocked kick week 2 vs the Jets in 06 so Feeley and Hodges will be needed to do well. Ben Graham was downright brutal in the 1st encounter and if Hodges is the same way it will be a long day for gang green.

    4. I cant say we hold Moss down despite Revis being as studly as one can get but its Wes Welker that is someone to look out for. He will get his 6-8 catches per game but its how they use Welker that is important to watch. He's often in screen passes much like how we use Leon by that Welker gets his yards due to great blocking. The key to get on him is to not give him much separation if your Dwight Lowery and if he does get the ball you need to swarm upon him.

    5. Nick Mangold will need to lead the O-line because Wilfork has been a beast this year and will try and stuff our offensive game. Both NTs of each team will have to be hungry if the team's want to dictate the game. I know this is a game that. However the guy who we need a huge game out of is Kenyon Coleman as he's faced up against the always vulnerable Matt Light. Calvin Pace can really do some damage on Cassell if Coleman can at the very least hold down Light and allow Pace/Bowens to get on in Cassell's face and smack him dead there.

This is no easy task but this has the makings of the 2006 shocker that NYJ gave NE where Brady was thrown down and the Jets celebrated on the field. However I just think we come up short as NE may just want it a bit more and Favre may cause a bad turnover that could end up costing us

Pats 18 Jets 13(Hopefully I am wrong though)
