good point. I think Revis will be moving around a lot covering Harvin and Rice. Problem is, when one is not being removed from the play, the other will be the target. This team really needs to draft or sign someone who can do a good enough job. No one is going to be remotely like Revis, but someone who can make a play every now and then.
If Favre doesn't return to Minny, it doesn't matter who covers Rice OR Harvin. If I had to pick one matchup that MIGHT pan out, it would be Detroit, because if Stafford has any sense he'll be winging it over there once every four downs.
I'm kind of hoping Favre returns so I can see Pace blast him live. Maybe Revis on Harvin and double Rice. Anyway, we are getting way too far ahead of ourselves with this kind of discussion.
Hmm. I don't think so. I know theres plenty here that don't like Martz, but I happen to think hes a very good OC and can be fairly creative given the tools. Da Bears have a relatively young team and Knox has played OK this season, hes certainly had his moments. I'm not saying for one minute that Hes going to own Revis, but I wouldn't right him off either. Hester back to DB and returner next season? Some clips of Knox here , slouch? http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/MultimediaPopup.asp?mm_file_id=1751&play_clip=Y&rn=6
Most important matchups next season is going to be Revis on Moss x2. With the Pats not having Welker for the season, that Moss/Revis matchup could essentially determine whether the jets win the AFC east next year or not.
when was that reported? how did I miss that? I know welkers knee injury was pretty severe, but I imagined him getting back in the lineup mid season, not him essentially missing a full season to rehab
With any luck, a Jet fan can hope that fucking up his knee ligaments the way he did would hinder his quickness and any cutting ability he may possess, which is his biggest asset when running routes and running after the catch. If this turned out to be the case, it wouldn't matter when he came back, because he just wouldn't be the same player that he was pre-injury.
Well its impossible to tell if hes going to miss the ENTIRE season right now. But its been reported that at the very least he will miss most of it. He tore his MCL AND ACL which is very severe. The recovery time is 6-18 months, and I read earlier that the Patriots wont even start to evaluate whether hes gonna be able to play at all for the season until after week 6.
http://nyj.scout.com/2/943678.html " Welker will likely start the season on the team's PUP list to give him extra time to recover. That would buy the Patriots receiver at least another 6 weeks to figure out if he's ready to go."
Yeah yeah he's a good receiver...but the bears are gonna be a bad team. The 'LOL' was more for the team having limited offensive weapons.
With how bad the Vikings offensive line has played doesnt matter who covers any of their recievers. And their choices @ QB is either going to be some garbage player, or a beat up 41 year old man. Eitherway with how often the Jets blitz favre should struggle severely assuming hes still playing, and if hes not playing then its just how do we stop AP
