Man.....they gotta get an agreement signed so there is some NEWS....people are losing their fucking minds...
That would just be a waste of a player. Neither one of them is a running threat or can block worth a damn. If they are both back there, the defense is not going to change depending on who gets the snap, and then it's 10 vs. 11
I beg to differ. Manning and Sanchez on the backfield from the shotgun, 3rd and long, obvious pass situation, right? boooom! they run the wildcat! 1st down! no one saw that coming! that would be a-ma-zing! If someone in the world can pull that off, is Schotty. I'd say we should give it a try.
So this whole article is ridiculous and really deserves no real thought, however, it does raise one interesting question... If, in fact, the franchise tag is null and void and players "refuse to acknowledge" it, where would that leave us with David Harris? Obviously, no one knows what's going to happen so any and all of this is strictly speculation. Yet, contrary to what Myers has written, in the end this could come back to bite the Jets in the ass rather then be beneficial. I think it's safe to say that that a player like Peyton Manning isn't going to go running to the highest bidder at this stage in his career (it's not like he needs the money, he's literally is in EVERY commercial killing it in endorsements) nor would most of us want him. A player like David Harris is a completely different story though. He could and would peak a lot of teams interest as a dominant younger/less expensive player. He'd be much more reasonable then some of the bigger names and with the Jets already having to be very selective with who they can bring back, this could turn into a disaster. Obviously, if we have no cap, then the Jets should be fine, because they can spend with the best of them. But if the Jets hands are tied by financial restraints dictated by the league, it would be horrible to see the team in a position where they're now choosing between Harris and someone else. thoughts?
he's not affordable under the cap. we'd have to cut a lot more than jenkins, gholston, taylor and woody.:shit:
the jets would still have a cap, namely the yearly nut they and the giants have to pay back for loans on the stadium.
