If you don't have anything to write about Gary, then talk the day off. I can't believe I wasted my time reading the article. I kept waiting to read the premise of the article and the headline was the premise. What a waste of ink and my time. I won't even list the reasons why, because it would make me feel stupid just doing so. This is something I would expect Lupica to write about, not goofy face Myers. OMG, Dick Young is turning over in his grave.

Dumbest article ever, yeah we'd want a $100 million dollar choker at the end of his career to come learn a new system and get aquainted w/ new coaches and players rather than our future star QB who in 2 years did something Peyton couldn't do until his 9th year.

    There's some logic behind it.
We could use Mr.Chock the first three quarters and then Mr. Clutch to close the game.

It seems like the article could have been written about any team and they just chose it to be about the Jets

didn't he also make $250,000, or $500,000 per playoff win this year? ouch. dude is loaded.

hopefully he can take a paycut to keep tone/edwards around.

I can't believe this was given the OK by editors, and that some people in this thread have what appears to be a serious post in favor of this.

Yeah, really. I'd like to write a Brady, Asi, Peyton, etc, to the Jets article. Apparently, I'd sell at least the min/man.

Defensively, yes, but with Wayne, Harrison, James, Clark, Garcon, Collie, etc. he's had better offensive talent in Indy almost every year than he would have here.

I'd probably rather have Sanchez for the next 15 seasons than Manning for the next 5 anyway.

It’s purely hypothetical and totally unrealistic, but hey it’s the offseason so why not entertain the idea?

In an imaginary situation where money wasn’t really a factor, I’d say go for it. Trade Sanchez somewhere and pick up Manning.

However, in a real world situation where we’d have to cut people to make salary room, I’d pass, seriously. I know some of you might think I'm crazy, but I’d keep Mark Sanchez. Dirty is definitely no Manning, but I really think that one day he is going to be great. I never thought I’d be saying that, but right now my confidence in Sanchez is higher than ever.

If money wasn't a factor... why would you trade Sanchez?
If that was the case I'd keep them both.

And since we're talking about totally unrealistic and nonsense situations, what if we had both Sanchez and Manning... could we have a package where we used both of them at the same time? Manning and Sanchez in shotgun and the defense not knowing which one of them will get the snap.

    BAWHAHAHA!!!

"...Mangold just got that snap off in time to Manning. Manning dropping back. And he pitches it back to Sanchez in the backfeild! who's cuts to the left behind D'Briackashaw....And Mark stutter steps the defender, and He's lateraled back to Manning! And Manning fires the bomb to an open Braylon Edwards! Who's waiting in the endzone completely uncovered! Touchdown Jets!...."

Wischusen would have a heart attack after the 3rd game....
