I try to stir the pot on the Pats board; but they just end up blocking me after a day or two. They dont have the mental prowes to compeate; you know the strong silent types.

It would be real hard for this Bills team to not be improved from last year. Lets be honest, the Bills defense was pathetic last year. Some of that was lack of talent, some of that was because of injuries, and a big part was that their defensive coordinator was completely incompetent. This year the Bills added the best talent available, they are healthy and they have a new defensive coordinator who is competent. I am not trying to claim that they are top 5 by any means but they should be markedly improved from last season.

Shitty trolls on another teams board usually aren't worth the time. Banning/blocking just saves time from someone who doesn't care about a legitimate conversation.

It's why I tend not to post on this forum as often as I could/want to at times because I usually just feel like taking pot shots and then think about how annoying it is on our own board and just decide not to post.

What have they really addressed this year? They have a new coordinator in DW (BTW, he is no Ryan, Johnson...RIP, or LeBau), some would consider a former BUST in Anderson (2 decent years), and an injury prone Williams. They did NOTHING to improve their secondary (a Rookie will start week one, we all know rookie CB's get picked on), McGee is 5'4, and they got ride of Florence (who sucked anyways). They drafted the kid from Troy a few years back and he is dog-shit too...Barnet is another year closer to 40 and Lights out cant even stay on the feild (when he does he is not a threat). I lioke the kid from LSU, but...I really am not fearful of this D. :buffaloblows::buffaloblows::buffaloblows::buffaloblows::buffaloblows::buffaloblows:

If you truly thought Dave Wannstedt was an improvement over George Edwards...

Man, I must be getting old. I never expected to see Wannstedt and competent in a same sentence.

What about Wannstedt as DC was bad? As HC, you may have a point, but not as DC......

I'm not going to be a homer here. Pornstache is a pretty good DC. No honest Jets fan can sit there saying Sparano is a good OC when he had limited time in that capacity, and then bash Wannstedt in an area where he excelled. The Jets-Bills matchup will be interesting.

As far as the Bills taking the league by storm... I'm not going to commit either way, but they have been as snake bitten as the Jets for a while.

    The problem is this.

The Division goes through New England. Everyone knows it.

But since Parcells arrival, we've more playoff games than both, so every year, It's either the Phags or the Jills, because to be honest the media just does not like the Jets.

The media loves the Jets, in their current incarnation. Same way the NYJ beat writers do. It just does not pay off to massage their egos.

Does 'Can't wait' ring a bell?

I agree on Pornstache. He's an Excellent DC.

But at the end of the day, they have to give the ball back to the Amish PopGun.

I'd prefer to face them later in the season, when surprises are limited, because we're the better team...

Though with The Miracle Man I think we have more clubs in the surprise bag...

I'd have to disagree, in this respect...there are two halves to the media...the kitsch media, and the ones that regularly make picks and predictions. The first former does, the latter not so much.

The NFL media took notes during the 2010 season, and then perked their ears when Bart Scott name-dropped in the post game of an upset over the heavily-favored Patriots. Everyone wants to be the next Tom Jackson.

So they trash the Jets every chance they get. Name recognition in the media is far more important than being right. Just look at Skip Dickless.

I agree that this first game is going to be huge. There's no doubt it'll be a battle. Both teams have a chip on their shoulder and are looking to make a statement. It will be close, but I think the Jets will prevail.

Please stop making up stuff........everyone followed the Mario Williams sweepstakes knows the Texans wanted him back, but didn't have the cap room to compete with us.

"Mario's a great player, and we want him to be a part of our team and our organization, so we're working hard to figure out a way to get that done," Smith said. "I think we've been very clear: We'd love to have him back.http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/17440549/texans-working-to-resign-mario-williams

Yet still have more playoff memories than the Jets. The only thing that is going to suck about the Bills winning is the coverage over the Jets' dynamic duo will be relentless. But I guess when you have Peyton and Brady battling at the QB position, you need to constantly talk about them. :breakdance:

I love how people act like Wanny was some awful head coach. He took a Pitt program that is not great in anyway to a BCS bowl. He took 2 different NFL teams to the playoffs, including the Fins led by Jay Feidler.

Honestly, I love the coverage the Jets are getting. It's definitely getting played up in the lockerroom. The Jets have owned the Bills. But that's without Sanchez getting any pressure. I think that might change this year.

You're right. I'm sure you won't be excited if the Jets got Mario Williams. Especially since we gave you the dominant Maybin. MW had 5 sacks in 5 games last year and never played with a guy on Houston with more than 5.5 sacks. Every guy on the Bills d line has done that.

Mario Williams had almost the exact same sack/snap rate as Maybin last year.

Maybin got a sack once every 40 snaps. Williams once every 45 snaps.

Oh really? It just creeped up on the Texans this year? They didn't know he was going to be a FA this year? They didn't have any cap money because they didn't want to waste the ridiculous money the Bills spent on bringing him back.

Nope.......dont think thats the reason. Using your logic every player that leaves in FA is because their former team didn't want to waste any money on them. This is the NFL.........you cant keep every player. The Texans chose to sign Johnson and Foster........they were prepared to restructure some contracts and release some players(see Winston), but in the end they couldn't come up with enough money to compete with us.
