The fact that he went in the first is ridiculous right now. He has the potential to prove his value to the team, but the Jags could have definitely traded back for him.

Good thing Jacksonville has no fans otherwise there would be hell to pay.

I had sensed that he was moving up in the days leading up to the draft - I saw him going in the 1st in more and more mocks. But that was at 29 or 30, not 10.

    - This was the biggest reach I've seen since Mike Mitchell to the Raiders last year...

    - BUT this was even worse since it was in the TOP TEN!!

    - A joke to say the least.

    - Maybe they're trying to force the team to move to LA and they purposely tanked this pick??

    - However, maybe in a few years this will turn out to be a good pick. You never know

Difference is Whitner was projected to go in the first round I thought...

Alualu was a bottom end first rounder at best

Whitner wasn't projected to go in the top 10 though.....it was a major reach for the Bills at the time.

not only did they reach....... Denver gave them a lesson on how to trade down and hustle more picks (something JAX said they wanted to do before the draft)

Who's to say the Tebow will be worth a damn as an NFL QB, but it's now safe to say that he would've put butts in the seats in JAX municipal stadium.

Jacksonville, had the highest TV ratings for ESPN's draft broadcast (more than double the national average). Think they were watching to see their hometown hero?

A trade down to nab Tebow & pick up a 2nd (or some 3rds) to help the team / cushion the blow if Timmaaay doesn't pan out should've been their MO, if they're planning on staying in town / selling tix.

    bad business move...... :breakdance:

At least opening day will be sold out as Denver comes to town. It'll look like mile high with all the orange and blue (go gators) :shit:
