To take Alualu at 29 would be a head scratcher.... but it would be infinitely better than taking Taylor mays or Jerry Hughes....

Despite fear of an equal facial explosion for what I'm about to say, I would so much rather prefer Mays or Hughes than Alualu it's not even funny.

If thats how you feel about it, I take it you do not believe alualu will fit into our system at all.

Not going to disagree with you because he isnt a guy I have studied very closely, but i really doubt he would be less of a player for us than Hughes or Mays....

Unless you think we can trade either of them for more picks, I really don't get how this thought works.

I haven't been on here as much the past few days so I have to ask....where did all this Jerry Hughes hate come from?

    I don't hate Hughes...just as a 3-4 OLB for the Jets.....ZERO coverage skills.

    IMO, he's better suited for a 4-3.

Well, I started a thread about him: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=54458

...so I guess you can blame me like the rest of the Hughes' fan club.

To be honest, I'm not sold on Griffen's. The extent I've seen on him cover is be in the general area and stare at the ball. I don't think I've ever seen him make one play on the ball in air.

    Agree 100%......I posted on another thread...624's.....Griffen isn't a 3-4 OLB...he's 4-3 end.

Well, most of the time at SC, Griffen has his hand in the ground.

I know what you're talking about though...on that video that I posted, Griffen sort of watches the ball float through the air and then chases the receiver.

Griffen has top notch coaching from the best linebacker coach in the country. If Pettine gets a hold of him, he's got a chance to become a scary player.

EG definitely has the athleticism to cover tight ends. I think his footwork and technique will definitely have to be coached up though.

You nailed it, I don't think he's anything more than a spot player for a 34 team. He's a 3-tech, doesn't have the body or the game for a 34.

I'd rather have a pass rush specialist or a developmental safety than a backup defensive lineman.

To be honest, I'm not sure where the joke ends and the true hate begins.

I want Kindle in the first and Aluaulu in the second..would be a sick draft if both those things happened.
