Just so we all know what your feeling on your team's success this year will be and so most of us can gloat by the end of the season... What do you believe the Raiders record will be this year? Outside of sweeping the playoffs and winning the superbowl of course.

I don't make predictions on records. Lets just say when we come down to end of season Raiders will be there fighting for playoff berth, while Jets will be getting ready for the draft.

Doesn't every team get ready for the draft at the end of the season?

Because the playoffs take a really long time?

    Wildcard? - 1 Week
    Divisional - 1 Week
    Conference - 1 Week
    Pro Bowl - 1 Week
    Super Bowl - 1 Week

So how many weeks will the Jets be preparing for the draft earlier Joe? 5?

Then again, getting ready early hasn't really helped the Raiders in recent years. Since they've been one of the getting readiest earlier teams in recent years. I think only the Lions are the only team that consistently gets ready earlier than the Raiders.

Just like The Cowboy Dynasty and raven defense was built from being a bad team for a couple years. Raiders dynasty almost here. Than you really think people are going to remember those six long years, or just the hardware Raiders get when they win multiple superbowls.

Jets have had there most sucessful run of the franchise the last Decade and and a half. They still haven't gotten any closer to a championship. Maybe your grandkids will see a championship in their lifetime. I wouldn't count on it.

You do know the Jet picked top-5 because they traded up this year? You seem unfamiliar with the concept this win/loss ratio thingy.

Jets 9-7 17th pick in the draft
Raiders 5-11 7th pick in the draft

Also if we are going on recent history, it seems your team consistently picks higher than any team outside of the Lions and 49ers in recent years.

Don't you mean raiders will be fighting for the #1 overall pick again while the Jets fight for the playoffs?

btw ur team has less wins in 6 years then the lions who went winless this year. I have to give you credit for one thing..your certainly a loyal fan

NO I wasn't talking about Trade up. I was talking about Jet recent history. Soft Schedule- pretty decent record, A Hard schedule the following year- Jets are picking very high. Soft Schedule - a nice season , a harder schedule - the following year . Well if you follow the pattern(learn from history) Jets are playing a hard schedule so there is a very good chance they are drafting in the top five again.

Jets could possible have the worst offense in football next season and Im sorry the additions on defense they made, don't cure the prfoblems they had on defense last year. Again last year I was proven right with Jets don't have LBs that are going to be able to match up with anyone in coverage. Bart Scott , Leonhard, and Lito Sheppard are not improving the 29 pass defense,

  13. You mean an idiot Raider who has been wrong about an overwhelming number of player/team predictions thinks the jets will be picking in the top 5 and that only our "Grand children" will possibly see a championship?!

Well jumping Michael Michaels 40 time...that can only mean wonderful things for those of us who have been waiting their entire lives for Jet pandemonium!

no see Dolphins who won one game in 2007, and won the AFC East in 2008. See the Falcons who won how many games in 2007 . 2008 Where did they finish.

Learn from history. Jets good year, bad year is based on their schedule. This year is a hard schedule so we know what happens there. Raiders in 1999 last game of the season, went into KC and beat them to end their season. Raiders use that game to springboard them to be the most dominate team in the AFC the next three years.
    Now speed up to 2008.
Raiders beat one of the hottest teams in football Texans bad. Follow that up with tampabay having everything on the line(win they are in) Raiders went into Tampabay trailing by 10 points in fourth quarter won the game going away. Will history repeat itself. Stay tuned Nfl fans.

  16. You're using a Houston team that missed the playoffs and has never MADE the playoffs in their existence, and a Tampa team that was a wildcard team at best as springboards for Raider dominance?!

For the first time...I believe that you have to be at the very least tongue in cheek. No one can possibly be serious w/ the dribble you so consistently shoot out. I get being loyal to your team and being optimistic..but to be hopeful for anything more than an 8-8 season and progress from your young players, is downright whacky.

Do you Mean S Michael Mitchell . OR is that someone special in your life Michael Michaels

Again alot of Jet fans called me crazy last year when I told them the exact problems they would have on defense. Well im telling you now you haven't done enough to correct those problems. Bart Scott, 185 safety Leonhard and Lito "Sportscenter" Shephard don't fix those problems.

BTW why Lito Shepard called sportscenter. It could be a good play or could be him giving up sx points you know hes going to be big, on the highlight film. lito mostly gives, but once in while he take it.

again Raiders in 1999 went into KC and beat the chiefs ending their season(wildcard) again the facts are that game was a springboard for raiders being the most dominating team in AFC the next three years.( J gruden will tell anyone how important that game was)

What are you talking about everyone will predict the texans as a playoff team in 2009. They were one of the hottest teams. The Dolphins, Falcons, and Ravens made the playoffs last year after having very disapoint season the previous year. Just shows previous sucess or failure has no bearing on the following season.

Coming back 10 points on the road against team that had everything to play for. IS a hugh accomplishment that Raiders will remember if they turn their fortune around. Could happen again. Just remember where you heard this first.

BTW you Probably said the same thing to dolphin fans after coming off a 1 win season. Did Dolphins win the AFC east the following year. I(f you been following the NFL last year record mean very little to the followqing season.

If Schilen is good (runs great routes), fast (runs a sub 4.4) and tall (6'4", 225lbs)....like you say he is and looks...why did you guys Draft DHB? Seems like a waste of a Top 10 pick on a player you didn't need. Or is it because Schilens maybe couldn't do what the Raiders want him to do. And if Schilens CAN'T do what DHB can do, what advantage--in measurables--does DHB have over Schilens?

Glad you said it so I don't have to. Russell has a ways to go, Sanchez has done nothing. Calm down, people.
