That's the biggest problem Jeaux demonstrates with his football knowledge. If it weren't for his blind optimism about all things Raider and the fact that he's hung up on combine stats (most noticeably 40 times) he actually wouldn't be that uninformed a poster. As a Giants fan I can tell you that Sinorice Moss ran a 4.33 40 and many Giants fans (a much younger, happier, and more naive myself included) were thrilled to have him in blue.

The moral of this story is: You can't just look at combine stats (Jeaux) you also need to take into account if the guy can play football or not.

N asomugha, Chris Johnson and Stanford Routt can all cover. Thomas Howard is one of the best coverage Lbs in the NFL(guy looks like a CB in coverage) Those are all proven facts, they already proved it in the NFl.

Your WR with Coles couldn't get seperation against raiders cBs last year and Chris johnson is definite upgrade from deangelo Hall. Thomas Howard takes more explosive RBs man to man than leon washington. (again the guy has played CB on occassion thats how good his coverage skills are) The Safetys Mike Mitchel and T branch are more guesses going off their reputation, than any hard facts. Still the one thing M huff 6'0 204 4.36 has always done is to be able to take out the top Tes in the AFc west. Keller woulds not bE A PROBLEM. Again your weapons on offense are useless against the raiders.

See when you have size , speed ,coverage ability and a pass rush, you don't want to try6 and pass it too much.

I'm going to saY IT AGAIN.
Remember this giant fan. Raiders have so much confidence in their CBs that they play man to man 98% percent of the time. N Asomugha will take out any of your WR(Eli won't even chaLLENGE HIM) There no gimmics -man on man. Lets see what your Wrs can do. chris Johnson and Stanford routt are no jokes. Thomas Howard is one of the best coverage lbs(Raiders have sometimes even lined him up on a WR) He has taken out way better RBs coming out of backfield than what Giants have. (man on man) In John Marshall defense he ask his ss to pick up the TE man to man. Lets see who eventually wins that job. Raiders playing in the AFc West have seen better tes than Boss.

There is no doubt Giant try and beat the raiders through the air they are going to lose. The question will be, will the raiders run defense improve enough to stop the Giants running game.(that what looks like now a big mismatch in Giants favor) Raiders do slow down Giants running game, and they have to pass, they will be in serious trouble. Giants special teams are good, I think raiders are better. Their coverage units are top notch.

...I don't even see how this is a response to anything I just said. The Raiders can play all the man-to-man coverage they want. Look around the NFC East and you will see teams that do this too. Dallas and Philly plays lots of press-coverage in a man-to-man scheme and do so much better than the Raiders have in recent memory. Philly has a secondary that is better than Oakland's, and the Giants seem to do well against them. While they may be without Burress, the Raiders are also without a dline nearly as talented as anything in the NFC East.

The Giants WR corps doesn't have, at this point, a star performer. This means it's quite difficult to key off on one guy. This negates the effectiveness of Asomugha as he'll be removing from the passing game just another cog in the machine. Eli works best out of the spread, so prepare to see this and see him simply take whatever weakens the defense offers; the lack of pass rush will give him plenty of time to see it. This assumes the Giants see the need to pass the ball, mind you, as they can just run it down your collective throats.

And let's put the shoe on the other foot, shall we? How will the Raiders lightning fast WR handle the Giants secondary. Webster lead the league in pass-deflection and put up numbers second only to Asomugha last year. Ross is a young and physical corner that also excels at press coverage. Promising 2nd year man Terrell Thomas is large (at 6'1") and rangy. The Giants safeties are also large and physical. DHB is going to go across the middle once and get his head taken off by Kenny Phillips. After this he'll be hearing so many footsteps he'll swear he's at a tap dance recital. Oh, and all this assumes that Russell even has time to get the ball down field; the pass rush will be on in him full-force.

Amazing pass D. Impenterable rushing D. Best armed quaterback in the league, 5 headed rushing attack from hell, rebuilt demolishing offensive line, two words, Chaz Schillens, Receivers that can beat the Jamican track team..COULD THIS BE THE YEAR 19-0?I think the real question is can we see the first ever 38-0 back to back seasons?

    Theoretical question
    Raiders vs. a hurricane
Raiders vs. a hurricane but its name is Davis
Could god create a football team so god damned good that he could not even defeat it?

Ponder these questions jeaux. I hope your head explodes, and sends your "football knowdledge" splattering all over you computer. The bits and pieces of brain matter hitting the keys could probably create better sentences than you write now. Success rate of your "predictions" would probably go up too, unlike JRussell's completion percentage.

Dallas and Eagles CBs are not in Raiders Cbs class. Your in for a rude awaking if you really believe that. N Asomugha(best Cb in football and Chris Johnson form the best starting duo - they blow asante Samuel and Sheldon Brown away. Terrance Newman and Mike Jenkins Lmao. Your joking right.
I don't care what WR combination Giants put out there they aren't doing anything on Raiders CBs. (take that to the bank) Any one of your RBS coming out of the backfield won't do anything on WLB Thomas Howard. Boss dosen't worry me.

Raiders don't have anywhere close to Giants Dline, but your severly underratiung their ability to get to the QB. Their pass rush specialist trevor scott and D burgess will harass Eli manning all day. Tom Kelly and G Warren can get some pressure up the middle. Again Raiders have been so bad against the run, that teams been contempt to run it down their throats. Raiders can't stop the run, its not going to matter .

Raiders can stop the Run a Big IF, and make Eli Manning beat them. Hes not beating them or their secondary.

Giants secondary is average at Best, don't fool yourself to believe otherwise. Giants Defensiveline is so dominate that they made those guys look alot better than they are. See Ex Giant gibril wilson- who Horrible. Was a product of Giants dominate dline.
Giants Lbs will have serious trouble with Mcfadden and Te zach miller. DHB Is not running over the middle. He simply there to stretch the field- take one of the safetys, out as Giants have to give the cb over the top. DHB gets one one on coverage with any Giant CB and raiders are taking their shot deep. Chaz Schilens size and speed 6'4 225 4.38 will run the intermediate pass across the middle. Will give Russell a very big target over the middle. Where the raiders will kill Giants is with Mcfadden ( has serious reciever skills and Zach Miler. Jamarcus Russell best pass is the laser beam down the middle. Extremely accurate and I don't care what Meadowlands wind there is. Kids arm is that strong.
Again Raiders can't stop the run its not going to matter, their secondary dosen't come into equation.

BTW Sinorice Moss runs a 4.33 Yea but the diffrence is he 5'9 183 pounds. A Cb farts and knocks him off his route. Now you can run that fast and are 6'4 225 , 6'3 200 , and 6' 210 and way faster than that.; Lets see easier target for the QB to spot, Tougher matchup for smaller CB to handle deep, and more able to take a shot coming across middle.

Joe the only person in your secondary that is proven and good is Asomugha. Chris Johnson let's see how he does this season and if what he did this yr wasn't a fluke

Right now i'd easily take Samuels and Brown over the radiers duo

yea because there has to be a reason Lito Sheppard was riding the pine. Right Please Asante samuel is better in zone than he is in man coverage. The guy is a playmaker does have a knack for making a big play. Will give him that . Still hes no shutdown cb. Sheldon brown is not better than chris johnson.(you know everyone tested him and he more than holded up. Stanford routt makes this even more laughable.

Man bottom line this is a team game....i dont care if you have the best corner in the league....big tall recievers with amazing 40 times......if you cant stop the run with ur dline (and you wont) then your gonna have to bring an extra defender in the box and your secondary is going to be laughed at. (please dont make an Asomugha reference). And you didnt get my last post i wasnt taking shots at your defense i was taking shots at you. Stop basing your information on 40 times and size please...that does not make a football player!

Blarg misinformation in my post.... looked at the wrong defensive ranking. I was looking at total pass yards instead of pass yards against.

Yes it does matter if you have one of the best Cb in the game. A. You can pretty much eliminate where the QB going with that ball - You don't think that helps a DC out tremendously.

Listen you have a BIG WR that can run(not marcus Henry type who runs a 4.65 ) you pose a serious problem for the other teams who CBs are usually giving up a couple inches. See Plaxico Burress 6'5 . Tell me Eli Manning didn't miss Plaxico Burress. Would catch his inaccurate passes and basically use his size to his advantage- jump balls. Was no accident Giants drafted Ramses barden 6'6 226 . Despite what your girflfriend told you - size does matter. Raiders are unlike alot of teams- all there Cbs are very tall and very fast. N Asomugha 6'2 210 (very long arms) Chris johnson 6'1 200 sub 4.3 and Stanford Routt 6'1 195 4.27 . One few teams those big WRS can't take advantage of their size.

Now the question with The Raiders defense will be there run defense. You can't stop the run than your advantage you have in the secondary is neutralize. As the team just going to run the ball down your throat. Lets see if they did enough in that area.

BTW Last point- If size and speed don't matter why do they have a combine. Where they measure everyone and time everyone. Scouts find out a player isn't as tall as advertized , how many have seen their stock drop alot.

Jerry Rice ran a 4.6 40. He turned out pretty good. So did Anquan Boldin. He's better than all your receivers combined.

You have a team full of fast players. Everyone can take the ball to the house on any play of the game. Except they don't. They take the ball to the house the fewest times in the league for the last 6 years. Speed doesn't mean everything Jeaux. Al Davis is proving that.

First I am going to address a minor mistake you made; Gibril Wilson is not a player whose talents were "created" by the Giants dline. He's a SS that has always been excellent against the run, but merely average against the pass. Just because the senile old bastard that runs your team didn't realize this and paid him like he's the lovechild of Ed Reed and Bob Sanders doesn't make him a bad player.

Now, while I admit Oakland's secondary is good, you are vastly overrating them. Asomugha is amazing, no doubt. But outside of him you have good, not great, players.

How is it that you are unable to criticize your team when they fail year in and year out?

This is the million dollar question we always ask ourselves.

There's no way he can be like this in real life. It is impossible

Your overrating The NFC East teams. You said both the eagles and cowboys CBs were better than raiders Cb's. They aren't and its laughable you think so. You will find out the hard way just how good raider cbs are.( and its Just not asomugha)

Second The eagles and Cowboys don't put their Cbs in man to man coverages any where close to the raiders.(they mix alot of zone coverages) Raiders are predominately a man on man defense (98 percent) There are no gimmicks. They are going to leave their Cbs on an Island. The closest secondary that plays as much man to man defense is the Greenbay packers. Asante samuels is not a shutdown cb and he alot better in zone defense than playing man to man.

BTW IF gibril Wilson was just great against the run, you could life with his shortcommings against the pass. The guy racked up alot of tackles and for all those tackles a majority were meaniless. There was no game changing tackle anyone could remember(as he missed alot) and who really cares he hads aton eight yards down the field. Thats why using tackles is so misleading .

Now who overrating their secondary. Giants secondary is average at best, made to look alot better because of their dominate Dline. . You really think they are any good your sadly mistaken.

    Okay, really?

He's overrating the NFC teams, two of which made the playoffs, and one of which made the superbowl...

And yet, your portrayal of the best team ever (who went 5-11) is completely accurate?
