williams was older and sat out and refused to play another snap there. they had no leverage. tunsil is younger and not holding out.
Only thing I wanted to see was a trade for oline . But I’m sure the price was too high. Do we have anyone coming back off injury soon?
Miami got 3 first round picks from the 49ers so that they could move up to get Trey Lance Those 3 pick were used for the following players: Drafted Waddle Traded for T. Hill Traded for B. Chubb We shall never know what that #2 haul would have been.
Well, we do know it would not have been T. Hill. Also Miami spent top 5 pick for a QB a year before. We shall never know what that haul would have been like if they decided to trade that pick.
We might have Fant and Mitchell back at some point after the bye week. But, after we lost the last game, there is no way JD was parting with a high pick. At 6-2 I could see it. We likely make play-offs, and who knows how far we can go. The pick is also lesser value. At 5-3, and with Bills coming in, likely looking at 5-4, and QB playing like shit in the last game, we simply cannot part with the 1st round pick. Not sure if any really good linemen were there to be had for the second rounder. But I am sure the loss to Patriots and the fact QB is a question mark had a lot to do with not wanting to be a high price buyer at the deadline.
We got a better pick for Martin than we gave up for the running back so there is that. Would have liked to trade Flacco for a seventh rounder and a six pack of beer.
I have to believe the Jets thought they had a deal in the works which included Flacco. Otherwise making him inactive on Sunday after all this time, moving White to QB2, and elevating Streveler from the the practice squad makes no sense.
Frustrated that we didn’t even trade Bryce Hall. I’m a fan of the former 6th round find. But the FO and CS clearly are not. He’s been inactive every game. So trade him then! And they couldn’t even do that. Probably wanted nothing less than a 4th rounder.
