They are 20-7 in the last 27 games, best record in the Majors during that stretch

No thread for the A's yet? Sad times in Met fan land.

I understand, but they're not your father's Colorado Rockies - they had gone 17-7 in the 24 games before sweeping the Yankees, and the humidor has changed the Coors effect (e.g., both Lopez and Francis have ERAs under 4 at home, so them holding the Yankees down wasn't as big an upset as it might have seemed).

I guess I just think that anyone who roots for the Mets should be keeping their mouth shut these days, or else they're leaving themselves open to ridicule.

we're still in first place, even though we've been terrible. We'll turn it around.

yep, a sad indication of where the Mets are right now. When nobody wants to talk about the Mets, you know things are bad

What a telling quote in today's Daily News, Anthony McCarron column, from Arod:
"It's something we're not used to," Alex Rodriguez said. "The NL game is an attack-mode game and our game is stationary softball."

Edit. Sorry, posted in wrong forum. Thats what happens when you post at 4:30 am after getting up to let the dog out.
