Injured and a trouble-maker off the field. Will he last with the Jets?

It's worth the shot for cheap money and if it doesn't work out again Ivory-Powell is still an above average corps. If it does work out Ivory-Goodson will be dynamite, which is great value for a couple of cheap veteran contracts.

What's Ivory's contract looking like going into 2014? I want him back.

Love the way he runs. It's like he's trying to run through a brick wall every time he gets a carry.

I worry about a guy like that staying healthy long term. He really is fun to watch though.

This guy is a fucking beast.. The offense needs to be centered around him and Powell...

6th in the league in YPA, 17th overall YDS right behind several guys with way more carries. All that behind one of the worst OLs in the league in pass blocking, watching the games it's easy to see they're not too much better at run blocking. Definitely a top 10 rusher if healthy next year, might be close to top 5.

I think I've read that he's tied with Adrian Peterson averaging 3 yards after contact. Our line does rank at the bottom of the league when it comes run blocking.. I look forward to seeing him next year, hopefully with better offensive players.

Props to Ivory, I've always been a run first fan. That said, I love a big pass play, but nothing evokes dominance or says fuck you better then a stout running game. Jets football has always=running prowess; even ask Junc he will tell you it's true.

Thomas Jones would probably like to have a word with you about this as well.

I always thought he was overrated especially by the time he got to the Jets. He got a lot of yards but behind strong OLs he didn't do anything exceptional i.e. speed, strength, vision, etc. He was just a good journeyman, Ivory is close to the most violent runner in the game, that's a very good thing.

Jones was a beast and he had a second gear. Contrary to popular Jets fan belief, Greene was a beast as a running back as well. Greene wasn't a #1, but thank the heavens if you could supplement him as your #2.

    Best regards,
    JV

Chris Ivory does remind me a lot of Marshawn Lynch whom I've always admired as a power back. I hope the man's running style doesn't shorten his career.
