first RBI. The single which plated Delgado was an error on Doumit.

At least he's above the Mendoza line now.

Pity the poor Mets starting pitchers.

What team holds the record for making the postseason with the worst bullpen? That's the only chance the Mets have.

Wright doubles! He's scorching the ball.

 The announcer said "scorching the baseball" right after I typed this.

I can't see this, but why didn't Wright go to third on Beltran's ground ball to second?

Edit: how odd. The gamecast went back in time, and this time he DID get to third base!

tatis is such garbage. i knew when he went on that "hot streak" right before the trading deadline it was going to end up costing the mets

Leadoff double with 4-5-6-7 coming up, and get nothing.

Sanchez gets through 1 1/3 innings giving up no runs. Does Jerry have the guts to leave him out there, considering the alternatives? Can Heilman pitch again?

Endy Chavez strikes out on ball four. That was a critical at bat because we need a base runner.

in 4 pinch hit appearances, Murphy has a homer and three walks.

What are the odds that Heilman can get through 4 straight appearances without giving up a run?

As bad as watching the inevitable bullpen blowup on TV is, it's worse "watching" it on the computer.

The bullpen sucks beyond belief. And we didn't get a reliever.

nice play by Endy there to keep the runner at 3rd.

anyone that didn't see that coming with the failed opportunities to add on runs in the 7th and 8th hasn't been watching the mets this year.

I think it's actually pretty difficult to put together a bullpen this bad, and I want to congratulate Omar for pulling it off.

We're down our above average closer....Still, this is some bullshit. I don't get why Heilman even got another opportunity.

Schoenweis is determined to lose this one based on his first couple pitches.
