Brad Smith is going to be on the team, so you never know how they might use him. You still have to bring in a real #3 QB though, and hope he doesn't ever play.
Why do people think he is brought in to "compete" with Clemens. That is pure editorializing by the writer. The only person Clemens is competing with is CHad.
As a Huskies season ticket holder for the last two years of Tui's career, honestly I don't think you guys know what he is capable of. Any player on the Raiders will be dragged down by their terrible decision making. In no way do I think he is better than Clemens and Pennington, but if he ever got the chance to start he WOULD have the possibility to become a McNabb type of player (without the injuries, and yes I honestly believe this)
Well, that's good to hear. Thanks for sharing that with us. At least it sounds like a Ramsey upgrade.
I agree. Mangini may say that there's competition, but Clemens will be getting a lot of snaps with the 1st team at TC. I can't wait!
Hell, if we're gonna think that way, we could have stuck with Brooks Bollinger and saved the pick we gave up for Ramsey.
for the league minimum ($595,000), I don't see how you can be pissed about this signing. All he is going to be is a 3rd string QB to push Kellen Clemens in camp... One of my good friends is a Raiders fan, and he was pretty high on Tui, he has some upside left.
My early prediction is that this thread hits 14 pages and the last 4 pages have no mention of Marquez Tuiasosopo. Or however you spell his name.
Praise the Lord! Marques Tuiasosucko is an exquisite clipboard holder and scout team QB. Guys like Eric Barton and Eric Smith and Kerry Rhodes need someone to pummel in practice to release midweek tension. When a QB like this is out there, you should not pass him up. ____ Okay, if this guy sees the field in an important spot, the Jets are in trouble, big trouble.
Jeez people bitching about a 3rd string QB who will never see the field? What's next? Practice squad guys who shouldn't be there? I would love to hear who has the best 3rd string QB in the NFL...
I rest my case. Although I would of said Craig Nall in Buffalo...He sure does know how to hold that clipboard, and his headset fits perfectly.
Yeah, there really is no reason for anyone to bitch about this signing. Me? I started laughing about an hour and a half ago when I first heard about it. My best friend is a Raiders fan and was ecstatic when Oakland drafted Tuiasosucko. I've been poking fun at the player ever since. By the way, one number was incorrect in the article. Tuiasosucko was 14 of 26 against the vaunted 2005 Jets. Also, he was sacked six times in that game.
